Pros: if you set your machine up right you don't get a lot of pop ups Online Armour learns what it needs to
Cons: if you're not comming in with all your software loaded you have a heck of a time with pop ups of Online Armour learning your new software. It can get awful tiresome

"A decent and reliable firewall"
Pros: Online is, of course, one of the leading brands which also happens to provide a free version. Can't go wrong. I've used it for 18 months with no difficulties up until April this year.
Cons: After my Win XP reformat in April this year, I have not been able to fully instal it. There is some error problem with a file or something. Hence my reason for switching to Outpost which did instal without any difficulties.

Pros: Works as well as most paid apps. Less bloated than most, also.
Cons: For beginners and novices, all of the pop-ups asking permissions can be a bit overwhelming.
Summary: Free. Smaller than other freebies or paid firewalls. Highly recommended.
