CNET Editors' review
Online Armor has a professional feel that is typical of freeware versions of advanced security tools, pared down to its firewall options. The installation is blazingly fast, taking less than 30 seconds from double-clicking on the installer to running the firewall. Once installed, Online Armor defaults to running its installation wizard, which it calls a Safety Check.
In addition to the firewall, which configures as much as possible during the start-up wizard so you're not bothered later, Online Armor comes with a keylogger guard, tamper protection, malicious script and worm protection, and limited autostart protection. The paid versions offer more, such as antivirus and anti-malware protection, phishing filters, online banking protection, and e-mail filtering. Even with these limitations, if you're not satisfied with the recently much-improved Windows firewall, Online Armor competently defends you from a wide range of sophisticated attacks.

"Online Armor Rvw"
Version: Online Armor Free 4.0.0.35
Pros
Excellent firewall.
Cons
Lack of manual update function.
Reversing permissions.Summary
Have tested this firewall without any leakage.
Have used Online Armor on both of my machines for 2+ years without incident. Puts to shame many of the expensive name brand suites. -
"functional,but"
Version: Online Armor Free 4.0.0.35
Pros
I used to use previous ver. they were working perfectly, tracking every click and any attempt to log into the net.(needs patience)
Cons
nevertheless I think it slows down the pc a little bit.this ver4.35 asks for admistrator's permission.although I have it ,thus it doesn't continue the installation process. Tell meWhy
Summary
enough

"too good for your own good"
Version: Online Armor Free 4.0.0.35
Pros
Catches (and stops if you desire) every script executing on your PC. If you want control, this it. Frankly, I tire of clicking the"allow" button. BUT, it is fantastic as a prophylactic against malware and web malarkey. 5 stars is only half enough.
Cons
If you don't know what you doing, the learning curve for allowable and verboten scripts may be long. If you have intermediate computer skills, you'll uninstall any other firewall you are using and get with this program. 5 stars is not enough.
Summary
Why waste your time reading here? Download it; use it. You have found the right firewall. Online Armor is on every personal computer/laptop that I use to access the web. Maybe 12 stars....
Forget the others. -
"Doesn't support 64bit..."
Version: Online Armor Free 4.0.0.35
Pros
I never got to install the product
Cons
There are so many desktops and laptops that have 64bit processors and operating systems that it would make sense to include this into a program such as this

"Only firewall that works aside from comodo"
Version: Online Armor Free 4.0.0.35
Pros
Good firewall with some unique protection. For free it has script blocking(only other program I'm aware of is avast, but only in paid versions)which is rather nice. I really like the keylogger detection.
Cons
Has poor integration with Windows Security Center. Windows detects firewall is off on startup(wouldn't be much of a problem if this wasn't a laptop)and have to shut down and restart online armor. Other then that it works great.

"keeep crap from installing on my system."
Version: Online Armor Free 4.0.0.35
Pros
it will ask every little thing my permission to do it. has stoped virus & hijacker from installing on there.
Cons
system can't do anything with my approval first.
Summary
get it, it will save you from crashing.

"I'm satisfied"
Version: Online Armor Free 4.0.0.35
Pros
for a professional this s/w is enough to provide security.
Cons
A regular user needs some signature based AV as well.
Summary
I like security level this s/w provides. It covers every security aspect I'm concerned with: programs behavior, firewall, keyloggers, selfdefence. It even detects webcam, microphone, screen and clipboard loggers.

"So far, so good--no problems."
Version: Online Armor Free 4.0.0.35
Pros
Seems to be an effictive firewall.
Cons
Doesn't seem to update on a daily basis--that might count against it. Threats change daily, and uninstalling an older version to get the newest version seems like a lot of work.
Summary
If you need a good, free firewall, then try Online Armor. I used to use Comodo, but when they added the anti-virus to their defense, it didn't work well on my system. I'm using Online Armor with AVG anti-virus, and both programs work well together.

"Excellent two way Firewall."
Version: Online Armor Free 4.0.0.35
Pros
Used it on my XP system for several years and now on Windows 7,
without problems. Easy to install and use for a non technical user, and
has features more advanced user may like.
Once set up it soon becomes more or less "set and forget..Cons
None .It has been problem free, and reliable.
Summary
Seems to be consistently among the top three free firewalls in independent reviews.
It has never failed me on either of my PCs,so I personally can recommend
it,as a reliable and easy to use firewall (even for non technical users, such as myself.) -
"Don't Waste your time with it!!!!!!"
Version: Online Armor Free 4.0.0.35
Pros
Absolutely nothing!!!!!
Cons
They still have not fixed the bugs from the last releases, that people have complained about, when you install it, it absolutely refuses to allow your comp to boot into windows
Summary
This is one program that I seriously have to ask CNET to remove, and to stop allowing to be downloaded from thier site.
It will only install if you "run" it from the download, instead of saving it to your HD to install, I am not sure what the exact purpose of that is, but I do know 2things for sure, it does not want to install when you "save" the download and try to install it when connected to the net, and #2, when I tried installing this program, my malware scanner found 5 different malwares that were not on my system previous to this install.
It absolutely refuses to allow you to boot completely into windows after installing, it will constantly re-boot your system, the only way to remove it is to go into safe mode, un-install it, and then do a search for all leftover files and registery entries, you may also have to do a complete recovery or re- install of your operating system
