This is a powerful file converter that's easy to use. OSS Audio Converter works with a number of audio file formats and can perform batch conversions. Some of the more popular formats, such as MP3, WAV, WMA, and OGG are supported. The interface is slick and skinnable, and all functions are easy to find and use. We were impressed with the level of customization Audio Converter offered for output files, especially for MP3 files. You can select the coding method for VBR (variable bit rate) compression as well as fine-tune settings. The application also allows you to choose a range of frequencies to filter from an output file. You can switch output format (PCM is the default) and set attributes from a group of predefined settings. Before converting files to WMA, you can choose among a convenient list of predefined profiles, which define frequency and other factors. We also liked some of the more advanced features, such as the ability to manipulate checksum verifications as well as bit reservoir when converting files. Overall, despite the trial limitations, this is a good audio file converter that performs well.Publisher's description

It's indispensable for the encoding and decoding of music files with ID3v2 tag editing, and it now has LAME support. It converts to and from WAV, PCM, MPEG, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MP3, WMA, ALF2, ADPCM, GSM, G.726, DSP, A-LAW, ACM, U-LAW, Ogg Vorbis, and CDA files (audio CD tracks) with optional settings (from 8,000Hz to 48,000Hz, and up to 192Kbps). It records audio from microphones and cassette tapes. Advanced encode/decode tools contains only hi-fi compression algorithms, a unique AC3 decoder, support for WMA, Ogg Vorbis, and MP3 formats, an easy-to-use interface, and an ID tag editor. Batch mode converts more than one file at the same time, and ID tags are preserved during conversion. Version 6.0.0.2 adds unspecified features and skins.

"Works very well for what its designed for."
Pros: Batch conversions of WMA to MP3 are a breeze. I'm no expert, but audio quality seems excellent and options are good.
Cons: None that I can tell.

Pros: I don't like anything about this software.
Cons: This software can't do what it claims it can as stated above. It can only convert like 5 different file types and nothing else. Not worth 20 bucks (I only did trial). Find something else guys, seriously.

Pros: Interface looks relatively simple.
Cons: Received a "Run-time error '432': File name or class name not found during Automation operation" after clicking "Continue with Trial". Never did get any functions to work...

"0 product support and misrepresented"
Pros: GUI looks nice
Cons: Will convert .wma, .mp3, .wav, .ogg ONLY. Will not convert adcpm, etc. as described. A week after receiving NO SUPPORT from company, I requested a refund. Luckly the transaction is handled by a third party. Even they could get no response from onestop.

Pros: the product covers a big range of audio formats n xceptionally easy 2 use. leaving the limitations bhind it is great.
