"OK but buggy"
Version: Nvu 1
Pros
Nicely featured and free. Like the online editing and Site Manager features.
Cons
Quite buggy and seems to be obsolete now. Check out Kompozer instead.
Summary
Nice product for free but there is better available now.

"SOFTWARE THAT HAS AS MUCH POTENTIAL AS YOUR "KNOW HOW""
Version: Nvu 1
Pros
Working with NVU is the first time that I have built a website from scratch (no templates). With my host in place, and content prepared, I am finding the process enlightening.
Cons
I have problems with the publishing aspect of NVU. However, with the help of tutorials, this problem will be behind me quickly.
Summary
Being a certified tech definitely helped me, however, for those just getting into the building of websites this software might present a high learning curve. I would definitely recommend this software for those with at least intermediate computer skills.

"Does the job right"

Cons
Lack some advanced features. Yet, still good enough
Summary
a good joice for begginers

"Pretty good but changes code now and again."
Version: Nvu 1
Pros
Easy to use
Cons
Changes code now and again, also adds code.

"Does a great job."
Version: Nvu 1
Pros
I used to use Word 2003 for all my Web pages. Now with Word 2007 it just doesn't work the same. This program does just what I need for simple web pages with some pictures and links. And it seems to work with fine with most browsers.
Cons
I don't see a easy way to add music to a web page, but I have my old HTML code and I just pasted it in.
Summary
Great easy to use Web page creator / editor.
-
"Not so good"
Version: Nvu 1
Pros
It was free.
Cons
Not easy to use. There are free web based wsyiwyg page editors that are 100 times better than this program. Don't waste your time with this one.
Summary
Poorly designed software that makes it impossible to do anything. You could fix the downsides of this software if you knew how to program html, but for me the whole point of getting the software in the first place was because I didn't feel like having to program all the html. I used to program whole pages in html myself 10 years ago, but there are so many better easier ways to do it now, but this isn't one of them.

"A good place to start"
Version: Nvu 1
Pros
Multiple views, easy to use
Cons
I'm too new to HTML to notice any!
Summary
I needed something that would let me edit already-prepared web pages, view the results, and get the edited page on-line. Nvu is perfect for that. Give it a try. The price is right!

"Disappointing due to Limited features"
Version: Nvu 1
Pros
I looked at it for around 5 minutes. The html editor might have been easier than what I use now, however their are cons.
Cons
You can't use a pre-made style sheet that I'm aware of. The ones that come with custom templates I mean. So I have no use for this program.

"A very simple Website Manager"
Version: Nvu 1
Pros
Everything about this free software is good and professional looking. I harfully appreciate the developers for producing this Website manager and designer.
Cons
I felt it is lacking some good templates.

"Fine if you don't actually want to learn HTML"
Version: Nvu 1
Pros
On the plus-side, the program is very simple to use. It may be a little confusing to a "newbie" at first, but it is fairly straightforward.
Cons
The main reason I don't like the program is that it codes everything for you. If you actually put code in, it will 'code your code,' or, basically, it thinks your code is the text to be displayed on the page.
Summary
Honestly, I do not like the program. If you are really interested in learning HTML, look elsewere. To me, this program is the same as claiming to be a web programmer, but only using template sites such as Wetpaint. Again, everything runs on the program as it is intended to, but the program would only really be useful for someone who wants a cheap template site.
