In theory, this application can recover lost data from damaged NTFS drives, but the restrictive trial limitation makes it impossible for us to evaluate how well it really works.
Nucleus Kernel NTFS launches in a clean and simple interface with wizard-like functionality for ease of use. The standard scan process is faster than the advanced scan, but the latter drills into your hard drive for lost data and takes a longer time to finish. Scan results show a list of all recoverable lost data and folders, from executables to DLLs, documents, and system files. For convenient browsing, scanned files are listed in a tree-like manner.
In our tests, the scanning process was effective and fast. We were also able to take a quick snapshot of the search result for future use. However, the demo version won't actually recover the searched files, so we can't vouch for its ultimate effectiveness. Nucleus Kernel NTFS is easy to use, but you'll have to wait until buying it to know if it really works.

Version: Nucleus Kernel NTFS 4.03
"Shady Company - Wouldn't Buy"
Pros: The trial version worked great, until you actually want to recover something.
Cons: I downloaded the trial version of the software to recover some corrupt files. It appeared to find them so I bought the full version to recover the files. Not only did they double charge me for the software, but the password they sent me for access rights did not even work.
Ever time I emailed them about the double charge, they would tell me that it would be taken care of shortly. It was never taken care of, and now it's too late for my CC company to recover the loss.
