It's one of the simplest key logging applications you'll find, but the program is easy to find on computers. Notifo Keyboard Logger's interface is nonexistent as there aren't any user settings. The program merely needs to display the log file of data it captures. Displaying the file is where the app makes an error in programming.
The keyboard logger starts capturing keystrokes right after your system boot. To see the text file containing the keystrokes all you need to do is enter klr.exe in your Run box. It works great. The app displays a text file containing your log. After you view it, it then resets the log to empty. If you want to keep the log, you must remember to save it yourself with a new file name.
The security issue comes from that same klr.exe program. Since the name never changes (and can't be changed), savvy users and antispy applications merely need to search for that file to discover the key logger.
The demo displays only half the alphanumeric keys and replaces the others with an asterisk. Notifo Keyboard Logger might be the simplest such app available, but it is not one to install if you are tracking any experienced users.
