From Thomas Michel :Notebook BatteryInfo displays the mobile computer battery charging capacity. By default Windows has only a small battery icon in the Taskbar as capacity display. BatteryInfo places a battery symbol panel left beside the Taskbar Icon area. The battery symbol can display additional information like current power consumption or the remaining time. Notebook BatteryInfo also reads out all information of the battery (i.e. battery maufacturer, designed capacity, battery wear level) and is able to display this values. Notebook BatteryInfo does not work with 64 bit Windows Plattforms like Windows XP x64.
Version 1.2.0.20 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

"Find out all your laptop battery info that you weren't supposed to know."
Pros: Its free.
It tells you information that no other program that I know of will tell you. i.e. max capacity, theoretical max capacity, battery wear...etc.
Includes a taskbar item for monitoring your battery status that is much better than the included Windows battery monitor icon for the system tray.
Highly configurable.
Cons: I cant seem to find many. If anything, the interface for the settings window could be improved...so too could the taskbar entry for battery monitoring. Thats about it.

Its downright awesome software that I think all laptop owners SHOULD have installed on their machine.

Pros: Displays very detailed information about your laptop's battery.
Cons: I tried this program on 2 different OS's- win 2k and XP. It works well in 2k, but it does not work in XP. It interferes with any other taskbar toolbars you might have such as google desktop or windows media player, and just messes up XP in general.

Cons: theres a icon of a battery beside the better gauge - does andyone know how to get rid of it?

Pros: works nicely, take a quick glance and you know the percentage of stored energy in your battery

Pros: This Program is the best program out there that moniters your battery. It is always accurate. I had a battery that didn't work and I bought a new one. My new battery worked and now I moniter it.
Cons: If you use different Themes onyour desktop it has a box around it unlike the original standard XP designs wher it is totally slimline.
