"Good Program But..."
Version: NoteBurner Audio Converter 2.25
Pros
It does exactly what I need it to do. Creates a Virtual drive which makes DRM free versions of my music from iTunes. I'm using a 64Bit Windows 7 system and have had no problems converting my tracks.
Cons
You can only do up to one CD at a time which makes it an incredibly slow procedure if you have a lot of DRM music. I currently have 8800 songs to convert and can't see myself getting finished any time soon.
Also the program creates massive temporary files that don't delete themselves automatically. After converting 8 albums I had lost almost 12Gb of space on my system with no obvious way to delete the temporary files. Even after contacting the company, I was still nowhere closer to finding out how to delete the temp files.
Not enough information on how setting choices affect the output. AAC has a Quality Quantizer instead of a bitrate setting. I mean what??Summary
If you want to try the program or are struggling to to free up space after using the program, here is the answer.
Go to Control Panel, Folder Options, Click on the View Tab and under advanced settings, check Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives.
Click Accept and OK.
Then go to your C drive and choose Program Data. You should see a Folder now called Program Data. Choose that then Noteburner and delete all the files within.
Seems easy enough but why didn't the Company make it more clear. Nothing will get rid of them until you manually delete the Temp files.
Other than this major annoyance, the program basically does what it says. It's just pretty disappointing that tutorials on files types and which settings to choose are so woeful. -
"why just give it a good name, i can hardly find it."

"Totally compatible with Win 7 64bits"
Version: NoteBurner Audio Converter 2.25

Cons
Songs converted without art works.

"Amazing-Can Work on My Windows 7 bit OS"
Version: NoteBurner Audio Converter 2.25
Pros
The latest version 2.35 of the program can work on my Windows 7 64 bit, can convert my DRM m4p and wma files to the format that I want at a fast speed and high quality.
Cons
The current version is not compatible with WMP 11/ 12
Sometimes there's nothing in the output folder of the programSummary
The latest version 2.35 can work on my Windows 7 64 bit, don't know why it did not work on your Windows, maybe you downloaded it on this page, I just downloaded the program on it's official website. You guys can also have a try! Plus their tech support service is awesome!

"Does not work on 64 bit Win 7 sytems"
Version: NoteBurner Audio Converter 2.25
Pros
It might work on 32 bit systems, but I wouldn't know.
Cons
It opens, but does not do anything after that. None of the menues work and iTunes still states there are no recognized drives.
Summary
64 bit WIN 7 users don't waste you time.

"It doesn't work"
Version: NoteBurner Audio Converter 2.25
Pros
Mmm... It downloads quickly
Cons
It refuses to load on my system (Windows 7). I now realise it doesn't work woth 64-bit systems, or the new vesions of Media Player or iTunes or Realplayer. A bit like a gramophone player really!
Summary
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS

"Misleading"
Version: NoteBurner Audio Converter 2.25
Pros
It didn't ruin my computer...but it made me question it
Cons
Took up more memory than it should have and made me think my computer was infected with a mystery virus.
Summary
I had hoped to convert a bunch of files to be able to put them all onto one CD to play on an MP3 cd player. I started with 8GB of space on my harddrive- 40 minutes later- my hard drive was filled up. In addition to the mp3s it made (which do work) it also made hundreds of .wav files that were 50-60mb each.

"Can Not Get It To WORK at all"
Version: NoteBurner Audio Converter 2.25
Pros
None, since I couldn't get it to work AT ALL.
Cons
Incompatibility to BOTH my brand new iMac and my one year old HP Laptop
Summary
I installed the free trial on my iMac, via Parallels for Mac, which uses Window Vista with Windows Media Player 11. I tried several times just to OPEN the darn thing, and it would crash over and over again within ONE SECOND of it popping up, and then a message telling me the program has to close.
Then I tried installing the Mac version to use with my iTunes 9, and finally it opened, but instructed me to change the iTunes burner preference to their Virtual Harddrive, and offered instructions on how to do this - but their instructions did not match up with my version of iTunes, and so it could not be done.
Then I tried on my HP Laptop with Vista 32-bit / WMP 11, and once again, it crashed every single time I tried to open it.
Right now I am using Daniusoft WMA to MP3 Converter, and that works flawlessly and is VERY easy to use. But - it is extremely slow! All songs being converted have to play out in real time - ONE AT A TIME! That's why I wanted Noteburner.
BTW: Noteburner offers a sister program called Notecable for people who have incompatible software, like me, and I DID give it a try, but it's no faster than the Daniusoft program I already have.
So, no luck for me! But good luck to you!

"Run as Admin in Windows 7"
Version: NoteBurner Audio Converter 2.25
Pros
Seems to work okay for music.
Cons
Not intuitive how it works. It splits long audiobooks into 8 minute tracks on each "disc" so you are left with around 10 files. It seems to have trouble with file names for these audiobook "tracks" and occasionally quits for no reason.
Summary
As other reviewers mention, it would not work initially with Windows 7 32 bit and iTunes 9. However by starting Noteburner in Administrative mode before starting iTunes 9, it seems to work as described for music (mp3 and mp4 output). For audiobooks it seems to be a work in progress. Soundtaxi has worked much more reliably for audiobooks. However, the reviewers who say it just doesn't work should try running it in Admin mode. That might help salvage the purchase price. Personally I wouldn't buy it again, but I'll continue working with it to see if I can adjust some settings to overcome the issues I've had with audiobooks.

"Seemed to convert but then couldn't get info off drive"
Version: NoteBurner Audio Converter 2.25
Pros
None. Waste of two hours.
Cons
If you don'nt have a life then I suggest hiring Missy_Belle
Summary
Not user friendly, doesn't follow through as advertised and very time consuming. I also have iTunes 9 and Vista. So far this software blows.
