And I'm not kidding, the box is the best part of this product. I have had 2005,06 and 07..NEVER AGAIN.... Year after year, money down the drain and no end of computer melt down. I have Comodo firewall pro and AVAST home edition and NO problems.
KEEP CLEAR OF NORTON unless it's a 650 with handle bars. BY the way message to Norton' makers, Comodo and Avast are FREE.......

Sure, Norton products do what they are supposed to do, to a point.
Cons
When you have a problem, don't expect any support for a Norton product. The support center is a call service to India so they can't do anything to really help you. In fact, one time the analyst told me that in order to solve my problem I had to buy the new version of the product. What?

Slowes the PC down BIIIIIIIG Time! It took nearly 40 mins to boot up my PC. You need the specail tool to remove it properly! Kaspersky is WAAY better than this

If you like bloated resource hogs that bring plenty of corruption and those favs like BSODs, error messages, and sys shutdowns, then yes. Norton is great and only surpassed by McAfee.

Pros
A lot has improved with this version of Internet Security. It's a lot more stable and uses RAM and CPU more efficiently than it's previous versions. The Firewall offers superb protection and it's antivirus is a lot more easy to customize. I could probably credit Symantec's greatly improved version of their famous Internet Security Suite to their customer's who frequently complains of slowing down their pc's and being a RAM-Hogg.
Cons
Affects Shut-Down process of my computer. Sometimes gives cCapp error message, a part of Norton's program. Still requires a large amount of disk-space.

User interface is very cryptic, hard to find where to set things. 2007 comes with no anti spam, no ad popup blocker and no parental controls like it used to. They don't bother to tell you it comes with less on the box. I had a problem with the anti virus software after 6 months. It would get stuck and I'd have to reboot. I looked on their knowledge base, found an article that said upload this to fit the problem. I did and EVERYTHING quit working, and it wants me to buy the product again. I emailed support and after a full week got a response that asked what version of NIS did I have? I filled this in on the support request form. I replied back and answered their question and never heard from them again. This was supposed to work for a year, and 6 months later it totally quit - I don't suggest anyone buy Norton. Oh, they did add a "add on pack" download to get the stuff they removed. I added this and the parental controls lost the settings from NIS 2006 which took a while to set up. When my wife tried to fix it, it said use Live Update to get a fix, but told her it did not recommend this, as it was likely to cause the entire thing to fail!!!!!!
