Norton Internet Security 2014 sits in the middle of Symantec's new line of premium anti-virus tools. It has the same comprehensive, real-time protection from viruses, malware, identity theft, and online scams as Norton AntiVirus, as well as 24/7 support, online software management, deep cleaning and repair, and a streamlined interface. Internet Security 2014 adds system performance tools, parental controls, an intelligent two-way firewall, and more. But it really earns its keep by protecting up to three PCs, making it a great choice for a family network or users with more than one computer.

Installing Norton Internet Security 2014 on another computer or upgrading from a previous Norton AntiVirus product is easy with your included Norton account, but new accounts are quick and easy to create, too. With its yellow-and-black theme and 3D rotation, Internet Security's user interface is attractive and up-to-date. A quick start guide described the program's four main advantages, starting with the Green Square, indicating a healthy PC and including the Norton Zone for secure Cloud sharing, Norton Mobile Security for smartphones, and Norton Family for keeping tabs on the kids. We could also back up important files with Norton Online Backup. Clicking "Support" uncovered Help, Support, and Tutorials in abundance. Internet Security comes with the kind of technical support that so-called free AntiVirus programs actually charge for. Be sure to check out the useful Settings. It's worth spending time configuring how Internet Security downloads and installs updates, excludes items, and protects your system in real time.

But first we needed a secure computer. A Red Square showed our PC was "At Risk," so we clicked "Fix Now" to activate Internet Security's smart Auto-Protect and SONAR Protection features. We always start new anti-virus tools with a full system scan. Norton's scan is deep and takes time, but you can run the Quick Scan (or a Custom Scan) for quicker daily runs. A Green Square showed our system was healthy and protected. The bottom line with premium anti-virus packages is always, "what's your system worth?" Multiply that by three, and you might come up with Norton Internet Security 2014.

"My go to security app since 2008"

March 08, 2014  |  By My_Computer_Guy

 |  Version: Norton Internet Security 2013 20.1

Pros

It's intuitive easy to set up (it will even automatically remove out dated or incompatible software, you shouldn't run two antivirus programs at the same time)
Some people don't like things in the suite, TURN THEM OFF.
If you don't like Identity Safe (I do) go to "Settings" and it's the 3rd box down, uncheck it, DONE
I don't like the monthly report I uncheck it DONE.
It has Norton Insight, which checks programs on your computer and locks certain ones down; now a full scan of your computer consists of about 10% of the hard drive.
If its running a scan and you start to use the computer it pauses and waits until your computer is idle to finish.
I know some people don't like the BIG guy, Walmart, Mcd, Microsoft Norton just because they are BIG.

Cons

Well I get it free from Comcast so I don't see any.

Summary

I set up and repair computers. I get Norton free from Comcast (you can too if you are a customer) BUT I would pay for it!
I make good money removing virus and Trojans from computers and 98% of the ones I work on don't use Norton, they use free antivirus programs for the most part, and pay for it in the end.

"Incredibly annoying product, absolutely terrible"

January 01, 2014  |  By B764853

 |  Version: Norton Internet Security 2013 20.1

Pros

I can't think of many.

Cons

I've had Norton for years, and the identify safe thing is terrible. There is no option not to use it, every time I go to a new page, it asks me if I want to sign up. I've tried numerous things to remedy this, with no luck. Absolute terrible product, not recommended at all. Save yourself some money.

"Cheap Norton Internet Security 2013 10 User @ eBay"

November 23, 2013  |  By Dhanu1980

 |  Version: Norton Internet Security 2013 20.1

Pros

Now on eBay site is selling norton internet security at cheaper price. 10 user only at Rs.3299. When comparing with any other sites its very cheaper. http://www.ebay.in/itm/171177389821

Norton is top ranked antivirus in the world and the second one is McAfee. All of the online sites and MNC companies are using Norton.

I trust Norton, I am using Norton from the last 8 years.

Cons

Nothing I found. Earlier version of Norton was slow, I mean before 2008, but afterward no problem at all. Its really very fast.

"Great Product"

September 22, 2013  |  By bmills316

 |  Version: Norton Internet Security 2013 20.1

Pros

Fast detections on Mal-ware and Virus's. Smart firewall blocks ports from malware so they cant run. Great User interface with alot of details on the settings page so you know what your setting.

Cons

None so far. People say the price is high, but whats the cost of getting your PC fixed and your information getting stolen..?

Summary

The Picture CNET is showing above is NOT the current interface for norton 2013. Its different now. Overall great product.

"Didn't do the job"

August 01, 2013  |  By johnny10pin

 |  Version: Norton Internet Security 2013 20.1

Pros

Can't think of any.

Cons

Auto-renewal higher than new purchase price. Keeps asking me to buy more.

Summary

I had Norton since 2010 & on auto-renewal. Price keeps going up and my pc (HP with W7) was attacked anyway and cost it me hundreds of dollars. I live in an area without broadband not even dsl. I use Verizon wireless for my desktop. I have the same thing on my company laptop. The speed is adequate and fulflills my home needs. However there is a limit on usage. I have never used even 20% of the total allowed usage. Good old Norton let one in and my monthly usage is used up in less than a day, the overage fees were staggering. I moved the wireless modem to another pc (without Norton) and no problem. btw, Norton still has not detected a problem on that pc. Now I have a very expensive dvd player that used to be a decent computer.

"NORTON IS A VIRUS"

July 30, 2013  |  By Stevehershman14

 |  Version: Norton Internet Security 2013 20.1

Pros

Nothing I can think of. They damaged my machine when I owned it. It cost me to to fix it from their online superscan. They keep sending me unwanted scans. They won't relent on sending me these scans no matter how many times I've asked them not to. And I can't uninstall my original download of their product from my hardrive. They won't let me.

Cons

Their current impositions on my computer sites that I have 2 viruses. Guess what they are? Its my Kaspersky program (read twice by Norton. That's how lame and stupid they are. I'd cite them for false advertising, hacking and for just being an overall time wasting source of aggrevation. I think they really deserve some bad press, big time.

Summary

Summary. I'm not fooled by technological reviews where everyone is greasing palms. I'm a forensic specialist who deals with the government. They asked for this indictment. They deserve it.
