NodeScan allows people to easily share any kind of file, as well as communicate and search for files, over the Internet or an Intranet. The software is currently in beta. NodeScan is a hybrid peer-to-peer/client-server based system which combines the benefits of both kinds of networks. It consists of separate server and client applications. NodeScan provides a platform for a variety of network services. The NodeScan network architecture has been designed for ease of use, stabilty and scalabilty.
What's new in this version: NodeScan Client
- Window sizes and positions are now saved and restored
- Can now have multiple simultaneous chat 'conversations' (to different hosts)
- Added 'Who's Online' window to show users currently logged in to the host
- Added 'Hosts' window and enabled support to connect locally to publicly accessible servers running on a LAN
- Miscellaneous improvements and bug fixes.
