There are not too many computer card games on the market. Various poker games are the most numerous, and sometimes you can encounter a Russian Preference game (not to mention the ever-popular solitaires, of course). 'Nine' can give a pleasant feel of variety in your monotonous computer card life. The game itself is not that hard. You compete against two computer players who play in more or less intelligent way. The goal is to get rid of all of your cards before any of your opponents can do the same. The rules are easy to grasp, and the general game play is light. Funny cartoon-like animation makes your opponents behave a bit like cartoon characters, instead of static pictures. All in all, 'Nine' is a sort of card game which can be very familiar to the table-top players, but has never appeared on the computer screen. This sense of novelty is pleasing.
