NewsBin is a multithreaded application that scans user-selected Usenet newsgroups for binary attachments. Binaries are downloaded and decoded automatically, allowing for simultaneous downloads that make full use of your available bandwidth. NewsBin has a work-queue window that shows the full subject fields of files to be downloaded. It also includes a built-in local Web server that allows you to use your browser to view images downloaded by NewsBin, filtering capabilities to bypass spam, HTML, cross-posted binaries, and filename filters. This download features a brand-new GUI, better multipart post handling, automatic and manual modes, and stronger filtering capabilities.
NewsBin 3.22 features performance improvements in the download/decode engine, an option to write thumbnails to disk, and extensive logging capabilities. Also, it now reassembles multipart posts across news groups and news servers. This is a ten-day, fully functional trial with a nag screen after ten days. Shareware registration fee is $35.
