Publisher's Description
From Alien Software Inc.:
You play Koplio, a monk in training who lives at the Semident Monastery. You have just turned 16, and are ready to take your sacred vows to guard the precious Armor of Gorus. By doing so you will earn the Sigil of Passage into adulthood. But an earthquake strikes the monastery, collapsing the entrance to the holy vault where the Armor of Gorus should be safely stored. Can you solve the mystery of the earthquake, and recover the Armor of Gorus? Without it, you can never take your vows. Worse yet, if the Armor has fallen into the wrong hands, it might mean the end of an era of peace.

"A nice console-style RPG with emphasis on puzzles rather than combat"
Version: Neophyte: Koplio's Story demo
Pros
Graphics are pretty good for something released in 1996.
Emphasis on solving puzzles rather than combat to increase levels. Many of the puzzles are quite innovative even by today's standards, and require a bit of thought - much more interesting than simply kill this to get that, or deliver this to x, which characterise some RPGs.
Cons
A bit short and small - finished it in one evening.
NPC conversations are only very basic.
Only one weapon (a staff) and two spells (healing and firebolt).
Player Character development is too simple.
