CNET Editors' review
Eset NOD32's latest version is sleek and recommended. The company currently provides a 30-day, full-featured trial, with no third-party toolbars added on nor other strings attached.
Installation is clean and straightforward. So is the interface, which has improved greatly from its humble beginnings as separate scanners that once littered the desktop. Combined into one interface, NOD32 can be toggled between standard features and more advanced features. Although our scans were a little on the slow side, system-resource use was low, and the results good. NOD32 has consistently scored near the top of several independent antivirus testing organization ratings for finding the most malware.
Should you decide to uninstall, there is an uninstall option. However, upon reboot, we found residual system files and Registry settings that have to be deleted by hand.

From ESET:
The NOD32 antivirus system provides balanced state-of-the-art protection against threats endangering your PC. "Best Antivirus by miles"
Version: NOD32 for Windows NT/2000/XP 2.0
Pros
I cant rate this product highly enough. I went on a search to find an alternative to what i'd been using which was norton 2005.Tried Avast Pro, AVG, Mcafee and now Nod32 which has detected and blocked more viruses on my system than any of the other programs.Theres no hassle with the program not being able to delete a virus unlike the other programs, and it doesnt take up much of the system resources (like avast). It can also detect new viruses that aren't even logged in the database. Brilliant program. The only antivirus given the 100% detection seal of approval.
Cons
None as yet. User interface isnt as self explanitory as norton but is still nice and user friendly.

"Simply the best anti virus program you can buy."
Version: NOD32 for Windows NT/2000/XP 2.0
Pros
Nod32 is one of those programs you can not do without. Dropped McAfee because it slowed down my high end system. Probably the best scan engine available. Huge database and advanced protection routines. I trust it.
Cons
Interface odd, but you get used to it.
