From Visualware :MySpeed PC accurately measures your Internet connection to speed test servers in the US or UK. Get an easy to understand analysis of your connection bandwidth including download and upload speeds, easily email your test results to your ISP or help desk technician. MySpeed PC also reports your connection quality, or the consistency of your download capacity, which is a critical measure for time-sensitive applications such as VoIP and multimedia. Max Pause, the longest pause recorded during the data download, and the Round Trip Time are also reported.

Version: MySpeed PC Lite 2d build 687
Pros: First you select a server near you and click start, then it scans your computer.
After it scanned my computer it showed these results. My download speed is 2.88Mbps, my upload speed is 661Kbps, and the quality of my service is 99%. It can show results on graphic charts, and analog meters if you click switch view.
Cons: The visual route trace is missing, but can be downloaded as a free trial.

Pros: It works! but so does any speed testing website or widget.
Cons: A bit too technical for us simple folks.
Summary: Overall its a good software and Its an alternative to a speed testing widget w/c is just as free.
