"Nice enough interface, disappointing food choices"
Version: MyPersonalDiet (Windows Mobile touch screen) 5.1.1
Summary
OK, maybe I had expectations too high. My husband loves his "Lose It" app for ipod (free!), but I love my windows mobile phone. So I hoped I could find an app comparable to his. The food choices for MyPersonlaDiet are limited and strange. Dozens of "babyfood" choices (really, I mean, really???) but only a few fast food restaurants, and no choices for basic homemade recipes and common restaurant foods Nothing even close to homemade whole grain muffins? Is it silly of me to think perhaps more dieters are consuming those than are consuming baby food?. We were at a pot-luck together with our respective apps, and I was disappointed how many more foods I had to enter manually, by estimating how much of each ingredient there was in it, when my husband's "Lose It" program had so many common recipes in it. After 10 days of trial, I was still unable to find a place to save foods or recipes or meals I eat often. I am concerned that if MyPersonalDiet is the "best" windows mobile diet/fitness app, I just might have to settle for an inferior product or get an ipod.

"great once you learn it"
Version: MyPersonalDiet (Windows Mobile touch screen) 5.1.1
Summary
In response to the person who said there's too much data entry, I agree in a way, but there are tricks to learn. If you often eat the same groups of foods together it would be nice to clump them together into a meal. Maybe you can, I don't know. What I do is just create a new "food item" which is actually the group I eat together. The customer support was really great, I have to say. They always emailed me back right away with excellent tips.

"Toooooo much data entry"
Version: MyPersonalDiet (Windows Mobile touch screen) 5.1.1
Summary
I often eat the same group of food items during specific meals. With this utility, I have to add all food items each time I have them. There seems to be no way to group multiple food items under one name and add all of the items by just adding the group name. Also, don't try to use this utility and eat out anywhere - also don't try to eat foods with specific brand names. The database will not be able to find "Rubios fish taco" or a slice of "Milton wheat bread". You can only hope to scour the database to find a generic "close enough" food item - or you have to add your own item - which I found myself doing 90% of the time. NOT WORTH THE EFFORT! I will stick to my desktop version of CalorieKing, thank you.

"Best diet program around"

Summary
This program can track ANY kind of diet and exercise; it's also very easy to add in custom foods and dishes. It's the most helpful diet tool I've ever found.

"Fantastic value, so many features!"
Version: MyPersonalDiet (Windows Mobile touch screen) 5.1.1
Summary
I've been using version 3 for a while, and recently upgraded to version 4. As we've come to expect, VidaOne continues to provide excellent software with plenty of features at a great price. I was pleasantly surprised by some of the new features in version 4. For example: the meal schedule. After a few days, it clearly showed me that I was eating disproportionately too much at night, something that I've never realized before. I also like the new look of the application, really cool. Job well done, VidaOne. You ought to try this if you're serious about losing weight.

"A motivating tool"
Version: MyPersonalDiet (Windows Mobile touch screen) 5.1.1
Summary
A recommended tool that makes weight loss easier to achieve. My only major gripe is that the food stuffs and terminolgy ("arm pot roast"???"broiled"!!?) on the database are all USA based (US English to UK English food dictionary needed please!) OK, you can enter 'custom' types, but it would be nice to have the exact major UK products (eg jaffa cake, Quaker oats). Also, one or two obvious things missing - eg pomegran. juice. Overall, a good piece of kit. Stay off the Jaffas!

"Very helpful, lots of info"
Version: MyPersonalDiet (Windows Mobile touch screen) 5.1.1
Summary
The food and nutrition information is very complete. The feedback on your efforts is great. You can track various nutrients (fiber, fat, calcium, carbs) and health stats -- cholesterol level, for example. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5: The help section is a bit limited. The instructions are very basic and don't seem to cover copying meals or calculating the nutritional content of recipes. If you are used to "points", the "points" system does not account for fat and fiber content the way Weight Watchers' point system does..

"I sold my blackberry to run this program!"
Version: MyPersonalDiet (Windows Mobile touch screen) 5.1.1
Summary
Yes, it's that good. I've purchased and run most, if not all, of the diet programs available for PPC and the Blackberry. I ended up with MPD on my HP6955 and could not be happier. Be forewarned - once you try this program you'll be hooked, so you'd better like the PPC format! I can't tell you how helpful having those English summaries and "call to actions" are. 24.4 pounds of weight loss and 5 percent body fat since Feb 12th. MPD constantly advises you of what to do with plain, simple, easy to follow statements. I.E. "you must exercise and burn 160 calories" or you must consume 510 additional calories (yes!). I follow them religiously and do what they tell me to do. I feel great, I'm not starving, and I'm losing weight. What more could I ask for? Thank you for this amazing program. It's as close to perfect as it gets, as if someone wrote this program specifically for me.
