This program scans for and deletes traces of your computer activity, but this demo version doesn't actually delete anything.
My Privacy's single-button interface is very easy to use, but doesn't offer advanced users any flexibility. A click on the Analyze button immediately searches your computer for visited Web sites, cookies, temporary Internet files, and Web images. We are impressed with the speedy search, though it is focused on files used by browsers.
Normally, you'd have the opportunity to delete the found items, but this demo removes that option. Since the program doesn't actually delete anything, we can't vouch for that capability. My Privacy also doesn't support cleaning leftover files of many other Internet-related applications.
Because My Privacy tries to be a comprehensive program, you'll find a simple tool to schedule clean-up tasks and additional features to tweaking some privacy settings. This is a novice-friendly application, but the major trial limitation won't appeal to any level user. Most would do better to find a more complete privacy protection tool.
My Privacy is a software application intended for probing the confidential information stored on your computer on its vulnerability to unauthorized access by hackers. Your computer may contain private information which you have long forgotten about. These may include your credit card information, login names, passwords as well as cookie files tracking your Web surfing habits. The My Privacy software finds all personal information and suggests its unrestorable erasure. The software also evaluates the level of your privacy protection and proposes ways to maximize it. Please bear in mind that no antispyware will save you from information theft. You need to be aware of what and where sensitive information is stored on your computer and purge it on a regular basis thus making information theft useless.
