Version: Mozilla Thunderbird 3.0 Release Candidate 1

    "Didn't work"

by harster on December 2, 2009

Pros: It looks , and from the reviews sounds like it will be great, if I can ever get it to work.

Cons: It is supposed to automatically detect my current email service provider, settings, etc. but it didn't. I tried the manual setup but that didn't work either. Perhaps my knowledge is insuffient to do the manual setup,

Summary: After threee attempts I have given up. Maybe the final release will be better. I have a fairly common email provider and preferences and even completely disabled my firewall and AV for one attempt. Oh well....

Summary: Good, but not the kind of changes you'd expect after 2, almost 3 years in development without a major release. Like I said above, I can't understand why some add-ons aren't just coded into the program. Thunderbird gives you a message in the bottom-r... read more >>
