needs more add ons and something fixed to speed it up...
-

On dial-up it is faster than any other browser I have tried, after enabling the javascript.
Cons
Keeps trying to dial up while still online
Summary

"FAST even faster then chrome ( but not minefield)"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 3.1 beta 1
Pros
FAST even faster then chrome or any other browser ( except minefield ) that i have tried ( and i think i have tried just about every browser out there) seems stable no crashes yet in vista home premium 64 bit
Cons
that they did not put it out sooner lol
Summary
fast ( the only browser that is faster is the next firefox - minefield) and stable but they are right that some add ons do not yet work with it

"I have had fewer crashes."
Version: Mozilla Firefox 3.1 beta 1
Pros
It seems more stable on my Vista machine, and so far there have been fewer crashes.
Cons
I would like so more add-ons.
Summary
On occasion it doesn't tab like it should, but it seems to be much more stable in the Vista platform. I am not sure that I would give up the add-ons if I still had an XP platform, but with Vista the improved stability is worth the change.

"Will download when more add-on's are available"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 3.1 beta 1
Pros
Love FireFox...The speed...ease of use...add-ons....Etc..Etc..Etc..
Cons
I do not like the fact that the Beta does is not able to use many of the add-ons
Summary
The Beta is not able to utilize many of the add-ons that I really like and use..I downloaded then deleted....Will keep checking and when it will work with the add-ons I am using, I will of course get the next generation of Firefox! Cannot wait!!!

"Great and continues to improve"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 3.1 beta 1
Pros
Faster at rendering Javascript courtesy of Tracemonkey. As of now you have to manually turn this on by going to the address bar and typing about:config and setting the javascript.options.jit.content boolean to true.
Cons
A bit unstable, which is often expected from most beta products.
Summary
I honestly did not see any increase in RAM usage. Perhaps you have a memory leaking addon such as Forecastfox.
Then again, weird things happen on Vista. Autodesk Inventor uses 200MB+ on XP and less than 100MB on Vista. Firefox 3.1 uses slightly over 100MB if I have three tabs open. Lagging on Youtube has stopped since updating to Flash Player 10 too.
People want it to be fast and use less RAM. Those do not go hand in hand very well. If more of the program is stored in RAM, it runs faster. There has to be a balance and Firefox with all the addons you have seems to hover around 100 MB. Fine by me, I have 2GB and RAM is dirt cheap these days for newer PCs.
As for it starting slower than IE. IE pretty much loads with Windows because it is integrated with Windows. Not the entire program but parts of it load. It's expected. People want a browser that has great features but yet they want it to start up instantaneously. That just doesn't happen in current times. Maybe in the future we'll all have super computers the size of netbooks that'll load anything in milliseconds, to the point where the wait time to start is barely noticeable. Then the complaints will all stop and Vista will suddenly become a better OS. -
"Good but crashes a lot"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 3.1 beta 1
Pros
Works pretty good
Cons
It crashes a lot.
Summary
I like it but you cannot use a lot of the extensions and themes plus it crashes a lot
-
"Good... I guess?"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 3.1 beta 1
Pros
It's quite a bit faster and nice to have if you ABSOLUTELY must have 3.1 for Firefox.
Cons
It's quite bloated, and uses crazy amounts of memory. On my time playing with it, I noticed it tend to freeze up when clicking on links or watching YouTube videos.
Summary
Stick with Firefox 3.03 until the next update comes.

"I always find myself going back to IE."
Version: Mozilla Firefox 3.1 beta 1
Pros
I like the nice intefase.
Cons
I want tabbed browsing. I can't use it with my bank. When I find myself not having to go back to IE then I will know Firefox has arrived. I always did like Netscape communicator. Also VERY SLOW startup. It takes 3 times longer to open than IE.
