Even though Internet Explorer dominates the Web browser market, you might wonder why if you spend some time with Mozilla Firefox. This light and nimble Web wonder brought tabbed browsing into the mainstream (IE7 recently jumped on the bandwagon) and offers countless ways to customize it through extensions and themes. Drag-and-drop tabs with individual close buttons help keep your content organized the way you like, and you can further streamline your browsing through the use of extensive hot keys. You'll find all of the regular options and features required for surfing the Web in the default setup, but the groundbreaking features come with the thousands of third-party extensions. Likewise, if you don't like the look of the default interface, there are hundreds of slick themes to use, though many weren't updated for version 2 at its release.
Firefox is the perfect browser for those involved with Web design and coding. A JavaScript debugger comes standard, and Firefox displays the page-source code in a new window, using indents and color-coded tags similar to an HTML editor. The built-in pop-up blocker works great for most sites, and new antiphishing protections and enhanced security for extensions are in the version 2 release. Anyone looking for a full-featured browser with seemingly endless ways to customize should download this powerhouse.

Pros: Perhaps there isn't such thing as the best browser in the world, but Firefox comes close to being one of the best. I have to admit I used to think this browser was bad, but after giving it a try and learning how many features it had to offer, I wasn't hesistant to download it and give it a second chance. I'm glad I did because now I use Firefox as my default browser.
Here are some great things you can expect: Firefox loads pages pretty fast (a little bit faster than IE), it has wonderful and powerful plugins that usually lets you work with the browser's interface to give you more customizations or improvments, and extremely error free. I have used it for a while, and have not yet gotten a "not responding" or a crash.
You will enjoy the plugins and addons along with this browser, it's one of the greatest. It comes in many languages available and also with spellcheck and themes/skins.
Cons: A few problems I thought this browser has. One thing was the startup time took a lot longer than IE and Opera. Might only be me but I haven't seen any "safety" improvements from IE, nor have I seen the smaller memory usage..Another reason (doesn't affect my rating) was that the browser is a bit too quiet. They could add an option for sound when clicking or finished downlaods, that would be great.

"Great Browser. But has Add-On problems at times."
Pros: Fast, and simple to use.
Cons: When there is an Add-On problem going on with Mozilla, that will be a point where Firefox just can't start. This is it's weakest point. When the Add-Ons have problems, Firefox will freeze, and could never start. Hopefully, this issue will be fixed in the future.

"FANTASTIC WEB BROWSER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Pros: Every few months there comes along a new web browser promising you the world ! And i do try them IE7, Opera and the list goes on ha ha! But nothing comes close to Firefox for its speed and ease of use and you can make it run even faster if you follow the step by step advice of CNET. ( thanks so much). But i'm afraid i'm in no hurry to ditch my Firefox which is a 'god send' when i don't have high speed internet. But it makes it feel that way!
I'm sorry IE7 and Opera you have a long way to go before you reach the same league as Firefox and a long time before a "die hard" Firefox fan like me will change loyalties!.......sorry.
Cons: Why didn't i use Firefox years ago??!! ha ha!
