Note: Firefox 3 Beta 1 is a developer preview release of Mozilla's next generation Firefox browser and is being made available for testing purposes only.. Firefox 3 Beta 1 is based on the new Gecko 1.9 Web rendering platform, which has been under development for the past 27 months and includes nearly 2 million lines of code changes, fixing more than 11,000 issues. Gecko 1.9 includes some major re-architecting for performance, stability, correctness, and code simplification and sustainability. Firefox 3 has been built on top of this new platform resulting in a more secure, easier to use, more personal product with a lot under the hood to offer website and Firefox add-on developers. The latest version, 3 beta 1, adds one-click security info, improved malware protection, easier password management, a new star button for easier bookmarking, and a variety of other new features.

very fast browser,loads pages very quickly.
Cons
it loads download.com in a jumbled way ie the search box & the menu options are all mixed up every time I open the website.very oftgen it becomes as slow as a tortoise.does'n allow the usage of download accelerator plus software.

have had no problems whatsoever in this version.simplified a lot of functions and more user friendly than older versions(is that possible!). all in all, big thumbs up and look forward to finished version.

i know it's not the finished item yet, but, because i use yahoo alot and the toolbar is not accessable on this version means i cannot give it a 5.

I like that it allows users to browse much faster.
Cons
For one, I can't use Real Player to download videos with Firefox 3. That has to be fixed!!! Also, I would like to see new skin designs for the browser. It would make browsing the internet so much more pleasant than looking at something plain. Overall, despite missing a few key things, Firefox 3 has a lot of promise. I'm not jumping for joy just yet.
