Even though Internet Explorer dominates the Web browser market, you might wonder why if you spend some time with Mozilla Firefox. This light and nimble Web wonder brought tabbed browsing into the mainstream (IE7 recently jumped on the bandwagon) and offers countless ways to customize it through extensions and themes. Drag-and-drop tabs with individual close buttons help keep your content organized the way you like, and you can further streamline your browsing through the use of extensive hot keys. You'll find all of the regular options and features required for surfing the Web in the default setup, but the groundbreaking features come with the thousands of third-party extensions. Likewise, if you don't like the look of the default interface, there are hundreds of slick themes to use, though many weren't updated for version 2 at its release.
Firefox is the perfect browser for those involved with Web design and coding. A JavaScript debugger comes standard, and Firefox displays the page-source code in a new window, using indents and color-coded tags similar to an HTML editor. The built-in pop-up blocker works great for most sites, and new antiphishing protections and enhanced security for extensions are in the version 2 release. Anyone looking for a full-featured browser with seemingly endless ways to customize should download this powerhouse.

Version: Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.7
"Simply the best browser ever."
Pros: Firefox is amazing. It has speed..MUCH faster than Internet Explorer. It is also far more friendly with media. Tabbed browsing is a must have, and Firefox was one of the first browsers out there with it. The new versions of Firefox also have integrated some favorite new features in it, like recovery of crashed browsing sessions. Inline spell checking is always useful for online forums. I could go on about the built-in features, but what makes Firefox extraordinary is the extension options.
Extensions is what makes Firefox more versatile than any other browser out there. These installed programs extend the functionality of Firefox by adding special features that improve and augment the browser. This makes the browser truly individually tailored to fit each user. For example, I have extensions that play music from within the browser, play youtube videos, track packages, teach touch typing, help me edit my facebook page, tell me the weather, help me win auctions on ebay, display my IP address and router status, and more. The extensions make this browser do everything but get up and walk. If you crave a browser made just for you, this is as close and as best as they come.
Cons: It can be a memory hog at times. Also, sometimes it experiences random crashes. Still, well worth its weight in platinum.

Version: Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.7
"The Best Browser on the Web !"
Pros: I have been using FireFox for a while now and the new version works very well.
Tabbed browsing enabled.
Add-ons available to personalize your browser ( it's the best thing about FireFox ).
Multi language support
Cons: The browser sometimes crashes and then you get the standard "Bug report" window to send the information to Microsoft.
But other than that, there are no cons to this browser

Version: Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.7
"Like it but it won't load right"
Pros: Browsing is easy and I like the cousom aspect of it.
Cons: I had one software crash and I recoverd everything but Firefox just won't load right. Everything else is great Firefox freaks out when it tried to load and be used so I had to go to IE 7(which I hate) then Avant. Avant is working with no problems. You make the call.

"Nice browser but not impressed"
Pros: For anyone looking for a refreshed browser interface, this may be enough reason to please that someone.
Cons: This version was slower in loading pages, compared to previous versions. I cleared cache on both Firefox and IE7. Loaded same pages to compare. IE7 was way much faster. I'm sticking with IE7. I know Firefox is working on a new version (now in beta) so I'll wait to try that one when it releases the final product.
