Publisher's description
From Mozilla :Note: Firefox 3 (Gran Paradiso) alpha 6 is a developer preview release of the next-generation Firefox browser and it is being made available for testing purposes only. Current users of Mozilla Firefox should not use Gran Paradiso alpha 6.
Gran Paradiso alpha 6 is a developer milestone for the next major version of Firefox that is being built on top of the next generation of Mozilla's layout engine, Gecko 1.9.
Firefox 3 (Gran Paradiso) alpha 6 introduces several new features, including a major rewrite of the text layout and rendering code, updated SQLite engine to version 3.3.17, a new Quit dialog box that resolves termination errors, and added permanent 'Restart Firefox' button to Add-Ons Manager.
Note: Beta or prerelease software is not intended for inexperienced users, as the software may contain bugs or may potentially damage your system. We strongly recommend that users exercise caution and save all mission-critical data before installing or using this software.

Version: Mozilla Firefox 3 (Gran Paradiso) alpha 6
Pros: I must say I am VERY impressed with this browser! I am quite sure when the final release is out it will become my new DEFAULT browser.

Version: Mozilla Firefox 3 (Gran Paradiso) alpha 6
Cons: This browser took far too long to load in Vista and when it did, it did not stay on very long. I do not think I will be upgrading my firefox browser anytime soon.

Version: Mozilla Firefox 3 (Gran Paradiso) alpha 6
"Could never even start up - Crashes, Crashes, Crashes"
Pros: I can't even get it to run. It crashes on startup. So I'd uninstalled it & am back to my original version of 3.01
Tried to start it up at least three times with complete computer startup. Nothing but crashes.
Cons: How about the fact that I can't even get it started - it just crashes for me. Very irritating since I've been running Firefox for years.

Version: Mozilla Firefox 3 (Gran Paradiso) alpha 6
"A great improvement over FireFox 2 and a much better job than IE7"
Pros: I believe Mozilla Firefox 3 (Gran Paradiso) alpha 6 is a great improvement over FireFox 2. It even can run on my old computer (PC1) with less errors than with FireFox 2 (FF2)
PC1 - Athlon XP 2400plus + NForce2 (North Bridge) + (1G + 256MB) DDR400 + 60G harddsik + GF6800
PC2 - Intel Conroe 6300 + 965P + 2G DDR2 + 250G harddisk + x1950Pro
When browsing with FF2 on my old computer, for example, it sometimes could not display product photos in Yahoo Auction (no network latency); or simply refuse to do any job when I input "FireFox 3" in the search function of this website (download.com). Those problems still remained even after re-installing the Windows XP Pro. After "immediately" removing FF2 and installing FF3, both of the above problems could have been solved instantly.
Obviously, Mozilla Firefox 3 (Gran Paradiso) has done a better job in handling compatibility issues and code optimization (better memory usage). It also inherits many of those professional, deliberate but user-friendly settings from its predecessor - FF2. The user may enjoy the fun with FF3 with ease with their past eXPerience; and now I need not open other web-browsing programs to access some web pages which could not be displayed properly with FireFox 2.

Version: Mozilla Firefox 3 (Gran Paradiso) alpha 6
"I know it's alpha and all but...."
Pros: It seems to be faster that's really the only upside....
Cons: It still doesn't render most pages right , which has been a issue with firefox from the getgo ( hence why I have been looking for other browsers lately ). It won't read any of my native language sites correctly , I have to use IE to even view most of them ( Korean ). It has nooooo stylesheet display whatsoever. It butchered almost every site I visited graphics wise. Kind of like Opera.
At any rate , until Firefox is able to read all sites like IE or become more compatible with non-us based websites , I'll be looking for another browser.
