Publisher's description of Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.2
From Mozilla:Mozilla Firefox is a fast, full-featured Web browser that makes browsing more efficient than ever before. Firefox includes pop-up blocking; a tab-browsing mode that lets you open several pages in a single window; integrated Google searching; simplified privacy controls that let you cover your tracks more effectively; a streamlined browser window that shows you more of the page than any other browser; and a number of additional features that work with you to help you get the most out of your time online.
Version 1.5.0.2 is a bug fixing release.

- "A skillful and secure Web-surfing tool"
- Version reviewed: Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.2
As more users continue to abandon Internet Explorer, Mozilla's popular Firefox gains traction in the browser space. Version 1.5 of Firefox offers a few notable features, foremost of which is the ability to reorder tabs by dragging and dropping them. You'll also find a tool that lets you quickly clean up your surfing history with two clicks of the mouse or a hot-key combo. The latest iteration of the browser seems more responsive than it has in the past and also is more efficient; with 10 windows open, Firefox consumed slightly less RAM than either IE or Opera.
If you're new to Firefox entirely, you'll appreciate the other features, including the RSS feeds, the JavaScript debugger, the basic download manager, and the ability to search several popular sites (such as Google) directly from the address bar. You can easily create toolbars by dragging and dropping icons. More technically minded users will appreciate that Firefox displays the page source in a new window, using indents and color-coded tags like an HTML editor. The built-in pop-up blocker is still extremely effective, and Firefox's reuptation for tight security is still well deserved. Anyone who's tired of IE will find more than one reason to like this free alternative.

Version: Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.2
Pros: This is a very good browser, and offers great security. Tabbed browsing is an advantage, and extensions are far greater then in IE
Cons: The change may not be worth it unless IE is REALLY bugging you.

Version: Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.2
Pros: I was an IE junkie for many years until I was finally persuaded to try firefox. Best decsion I ever made. Besides the fact that Firefox is just a better browser then IE because of its speed, tabbed browsing, and style. The fact that you can add literally hundreds of extentions (add-ons) makes it hands down the best browser out there.
Cons: There are still a select few websites that do not run well in Firefox, but dont let that stop you from downloading it, you can put an extentions in called "IE tab" and "IE View" which will open any webpage using the Internet Explorer engine from Firefox.

"A very steady and stable browser....."
Pros: I've had this and other "open source" browsers and I've liked a few. However I've found Firefox to be the consident performer, year in and year out, along side Mozilla, Opera, and the new K-meleon with the Mozilla 1.75 build. Many have tried to berate this browser but even after faltering Firefox has recovered with a browser that's hard for hackers to crack, and is practically immune from most common spyware and cookies.
Cons: Some sites and ISP providers still don't get it so sometimes Firefox won't display certain pages of a home page because of active x restrictions. I don't mind myself since the weakness's of active x make me more than a little nervous. Other than this one quirk with may not even be their fault I don't really have any complaints.

"Has Become My Main Browser (For The Most Part)"
Pros: The biggest thing, in my eyes, about the whole project is the availbility of plugins and safeguards such as SiteAdvisor and NoScript that help protect you from malicious codes being unleashed on your machine. Since I have pretty much used this full time with two exceptions (see cons) the amount of issues AdAware & Spybot S&D have had to deal with have DRASTICALLY reduced, and I don't even surf to sites where those type of things are generally a problem. I love the customability you have in terms of search engines, page emailing (you can even email a full page that you need a password to get into to someone else and they will get EXACTLY what you get without having to belong to that site.) and the tabbed browsing which I first fell in love with back when I was using Avant.
Cons: The only issues I have are that Yahoo! Mail seems to continually crash the browser, at least in my case, which I have given Mozilla this information so that they can get a bug fix installed and that the IE plugin is needed to use sites such as Hotmail, therefore, I still need a little bit of Internet Explorer.

Version: Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.2
Pros: Till I found out how to use the firefix extensions.
I like there are extensions that help protect your privacy that you can download and use them for free on firefox's site such as blocking the referrer feild.
Cons: None that I can think of.
