Though it's difficult to unseat Safari as the preferred browser of Mac users, Mozilla Firefox garners attention through its solid design and extra features, making it a worthy alternative. Its nimble and uncluttered interface houses only the most necessary features, with the option to easily add customized toolbars. Mozilla Firefox claims to be the fastest of all browsers, and while our tests have never yielded a huge difference in speed, we do know the more we use Firefox, the more we like it. We especially like the tabbed browsing, the handy extensions, and the cool-looking skins offered at the Firefox Web site. Also, Firefox seamlessly blocks unwelcome pop-up advertisements without requiring the download of any additional software. If you're looking for a light and agile browser or like the idea of customizable skins and useful extensions, you owe it to yourself to check out Firefox. Version: Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.1
"much easier than Safari for downloads"
Pros: Fox remembers lots of stuff- names, websites, and where the last download went. Safari frustrates me by always saving to the same place, forcing extra steps and time for simple downloads. Also Fox is the only Mac browser that almost works in Lotus iNotes- others just trigger the error and force use of webmail. Fox sometimes will not send with large (3MB+) attachments (says file is empty).

Version: Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.1
Pros: It's customizable, skinable, tons of extensions, secure, and fast. The only browser for Windows that really compares to it is Opera, which is a great browser also. If the preview version of IE7 is any indication, you may as well just start using Firefox now.
Cons: I can't think of any cons off hand.

Version: Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.1
"Few flaws...but an always improving web browser Firefox"
Pros: Firefox 1.5.0.1 is a minior improvement to the previous version of Firefox. But has made Firefox a better web browser. Although the improvements ain't apparent visually. Firefox has a dramatically improved stability and memory leaks. Firefox 1.5.0.1 web browser also patched a total of eight secuirty vulnerabilities. Firefox 1.5.0.1 web browser built-in pop-up blocker is better than Internet Explorer 7 beta 2 Preview for Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Internet Explorer 6 with Windows XP Service Pack 2 pop-up blocker. Tabbed browsing, integrated search and RSS features in Firefox 1.5.0.1 is more simple to use and user friendly than Netscape, Opera and Internet Explorer 7 beta 2 Preview for Windows XP Service Pack 2.
Cons: Although anti-phishing extensions like Google Safe Browsing and SiteAdvisor are great. Anti-phishing is not built-in to Firefox 1.5.0.1 web browser.
