CNET Editors' review
As more users continue to abandon Internet Explorer, Mozilla's popular Firefox gains traction in the browser space. Version 1.5 of Firefox offers a few notable features, foremost of which is the ability to reorder tabs by dragging and dropping them. You'll also find a tool that lets you quickly clean up your surfing history with two clicks of the mouse or a hot-key combo. The latest iteration of the browser seems more responsive than it has in the past and also is more efficient; with 10 windows open, Firefox consumed slightly less RAM than either IE or Opera.
If you're new to Firefox entirely, you'll appreciate the other features, including the RSS feeds, the JavaScript debugger, the basic download manager, and the ability to search several popular sites (such as Google) directly from the address bar. You can easily create toolbars by dragging and dropping icons. More technically minded users will appreciate that Firefox displays the page source in a new window, using indents and color-coded tags like an HTML editor. The built-in pop-up blocker is still extremely effective, and Firefox's reuptation for tight security is still well deserved. Anyone who's tired of IE will find more than one reason to like this free alternative.

Mozilla Firefox is a fast, full-featured Web browser that makes browsing more efficient than ever before. Firefox includes pop-up blocking; a tab-browsing mode that lets you open several pages in a single window; integrated Google searching; simplified privacy controls that let you cover your tracks more effectively; a streamlined browser window that shows you more of the page than any other browser; and a number of additional features that work with you to help you get the most out of your time online.

Cons
None. Some people are having speed issues but Firetune cleans that problem up.

"FireHYPE"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 1.5
Pros
Has well-done plugin / add-on support. * Displays "IE Only" type pages better than Opera.
Cons
Has little in the way of options or features of its own, relying completely upon plugins to provide what it's missing. This leads to a lot of unnecessary bulk. * Slow, esp. compared to Opera. * Pops up "script errors" if a page is slow to load instead of allowing user to simply define a timeout time and leaving user the @#$! alone until that time is reached. * Right-click and "save target as" almost always fails to download the file and instead downloads the associated php / etc. This is bad enough without the next item: * Downloads via left-click almost always open a blank page which does not automatically vanish when the transfer is complete. * Downloads default to desktop instead of asking you to define the download location. You have to set an option to *allow* you to define where you want your download to go (!) * Downloads NEVER adhere to "Do this automatically for files like this from now on." setting. * Toolbars cannot be rearranged so that they take up the least amount of vertical screen size. * All this after three days of running the program. This browser is AWESOME -- *IF* the only one you've ever used before is Internet Explorer.

"Firefox Rocks!!"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 1.5
Pros
Myself, I was once considered to be Mr. Internet Explorer. I always said if you take care of IE it will work great. Boy, was I wrong. How in the heck can a guy take care of Internet Explorer. Its impossible. Now with Firefox!, now your talking. This thing has tabbed browsing barely any popups, no toolbars are installed (ive seen once instance where a customer got a spyware toolbar installed in firefox, that still baffles me). Its pretty much always fast.
So many plugins... so little time!.
Gotta love the plugins for this thing. Easy to install and easy to take out. You can update the plugins via firefox without having to go to the plugins webpage.
Microsoft got some work cut out for them if they think little ol me is going to use Internet Explorer anymore!.
Cons
Since one time, Internet explorer dominated the web browser scene, becuase of this some websites comes up disorted in firefox misaligned text or boxes. Also sometimes video doesn't appear right (but of course theres plugins to fix that!).

"Quite a plain browser with nothing special about it really"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 1.5
Pros
I didn't particulaly like this internet browser myself, although it was easy to use but I would recommend it to people who want something that's even easier to use than Internet Explorer
Cons
Too sinmple and plain for me, but then again I am a person who prefers more advanced things like the Wichio browser

"Same as other browsers, but with evil download feature"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 1.5
Pros
Firefox seems about like other Netscape offspring. Stops some popups and ads, but misses others
Cons
Evil download feature - Suddenly buries the download into: c:\Documents and Settings\vxtee\Desktop - without asking - so I have to find where it's buried and get it out of there so I can put it where I want it, someplace simple, like: C:\installs.
Frustrating enough to avoid Firefox all together.

"The best web browser, period."
Version: Mozilla Firefox 1.5
Pros
Pros: It's the most customizable, the most web standards compliment and it doesn't come with ActiveX as Internet Explorer does (ActiveX is how spyware and malware usually end up on your computer).
In addition got a cNet.com, PC World and PC Magazine Editor's Choice award.
Cons
The best feature (downloadable extensions - that allow you to customize the behavior of and add features to the browser) can be difficult (due to frequent program updates to Firefox from Mozilla) that require extensions be re-written.
What this means is, you may find yourself waiting 3-30 days for extension authors to get their act together.
In spite of that, the worst case scenario is yuou're still left with a browser that's superior "out of the box" to Internet Explorer.
