The best utilities do one thing and do it incredibly well. Morpheus is a perfect example of this principle. The amazingly simple tool takes two images and creates a morphing transition between them. Though the morphing effect has been popular for years, it's never been this easy to create. Once the images are imported, a markup tool is used to flag similar areas between the two images. After creating enough common areas, the software goes to work, rendering the animation into one of several formats, including animated GIF, full-screen AVI, and even Macromedia Flash. On the downside, the help system could use a bit of streamlining, and the demo version only allows for four rendered files. However, considering the small demo size and learning curve, this is a great diversion for anyone interested in creating unique special effects.Publisher's description

"Easy to use, fun, good results"
Pros: I was somewhat shocked at how easy to use this software was. Fun and very nice results
Cons: Would of liked an option to reverse the morph... In other words morph from person to cat and then back again in the same video sequence. Maybe the option exists, I couldn't find it.

Pros: Great potential - not usable
Cons: Awful user experience - the samples don't work, the help facility is hopeless and the software has a 1970's feel. You really can achieve the same with transitions in a photo or movie program.
Summary: Unless you have the time to waste, don't touch this disfunctional product

"First try at this as a neophyte, and here I stay."
Pros: First, it's free to try. Second, it's super easy to use. Third it's not expensive to step up.
Cons: A tutotial would be nice.
Summary: I have friends with "big deal, big shot" programs that are not this user friendly for the kids in our drop-in centre. They love it.
