From SoftCab :Modem Spy is a utility for recording phone calls. It features microphone recording; playback of recorded messages via a phone line; playback of recorded messages via a sound card; and it can record all incoming phone calls. It has built-in software for automatic gain control; detects and logs caller ID; pops up caller ID information; and has a Super Spy mode that will hide Modem Spy behavior.

Version: Modem Spy 3.9
"Works fine, but price not as represented"
Pros: Installs and configures easily. Works as described.
Cons: (1) Detected as spyware by AVG antivirus.
(2) "Buy it now" link discloses price as $39.95, not $24.95. Even if it's not deceptive, that's a hefty increase in the 6 months since it was uploaded. Definitely puts it out of the "good value" range.Summary: Will not purchase at $40 for a simple phone recorder.
