"it seems to have some major difficulties..."

Pros
A nice interface to manage data on your phone, but many features are really unuseful, like video/audio/ringtone editor and do not work properly. And could not find a proper pict for my phone! (I had the same problem with another phone before!)
Cons
I installed the software (lite) and bought a full licence. Nevertheless, the program do not seem to be able to complete basic functions, and is instable. In particular updating the phonebook, can not be updated.
Summary
It also made unstable android as well. One day, after unplugging my phone, I could not even receive calls (without knowing it!). I am quite unsatisfied with this product.

I have used all the different phone management software products and there is nothing in the same class as MOBILedit. I really cannot believe some of the negative responses I have read on this site by users. People seem to be having trouble connecting a phone. It seems to me that these users must not have basic PC skills because this function works fine. My only conclusion is that they do not know how to install a driver or they are using a phone that is not on the support list. There are close to 300 phones on the list, so you can't fault the software for supporting far more phones than any other program. I use MOBILedit on a daily basis to do things like synchronize my phonebook with Outlook, backup my content, and transfer files between the phone and PC. These are just a couple of the basic functions I use, but if you want you can easily install games, ringtones, etc without paying your operator. The new 2.1 version has a very cool new mBoox tool which allows me to transfer text like Word documents to my phone and read them on my phone the same way as on my PC. Stop the complaining! It's the best product of its kind out there!

I installed this program using A-Shampoo uninstaller, just to be safe. It detected my phone, but did not do what I wanted it to do. WHEN i went to uninstall it (with AShampoo), it had changed enough of my settings that now my Motorola Phone Tools do not detect my phone!! 3 consecutive uninstall, reinstalls of phone tools does not clear it up!! This program has messed up my phone tools!!! For the love of god, do NOT use this program! I only give it one star because CNet will not let me give it a lower rating!

Unable to get files from Motorola V220 & V180. It got the phone book but was unable to get my pics. i keep getting a time out error. I contacted them they asked for logs which I got and emailed to them. Am awaiting a response.

"Beware of their uninstall utility!!!"

Pros
Did not work the first time. After the initial trial time expired, I tried to reinstall to give the software a second chance. Second attempt only checked Com1 and failed to find the USB connection. During the final removal of software, I noticed files unrelated to Mobiledit were getting erased at an alarming rate. Program did not respond to Cancel or end-task. I had to switch the prime power off to stop the indiscriminate erasure.
Cons
It's unclear why the MOBILedit! uninstall utility triggered an erasure rampage on C:\Program Files\*.*. I lost MS Office, Acrobat 7.0, ArcSoft, Common Files, AVG and others yet to be discovered. Cnet should investigate the orgin of this malicious act. I saved the original download file for postmortem analysis. Intend to sacrifice an old PC to confirm my hypothesis.
