Miranda IM lacks the slick design of most IM programs, but makes up for it by supporting most IM programs in one fully customizable package. It's easy to add your various IM accounts--including AIM, Yahoo, ICQ and MSN--and you'll have the same icons and status messages for each program. You can even manage the personal information for all your accounts from one central control panel.
Miranda IM's plain, gray instant-messaging window offers just the basics for typing and viewing messages; you won't find the text formatting options, emoticons, or links that a program like Yahoo Messenger offers. You will find numerous options to customize how chat or IM windows behave, including a handy option to have messages from a specific person always appear in the same location on your screen. You also can assign hot keys for a few actions like opening the program or reading a message.
Miranda IM is offered as freeware. You'll give up some of the unique features of your IM programs, but Miranda IM allows you to conveniently monitor and manage many of your chat and messaging programs in one place.

Version: Miranda IM 0.7.10
Pros: its a great messenger if you don't have the space to d/l all the separate ones. It makes it easy to see who's online in one glance.
Cons: it doesn't have the features the other ones do. Its a basic program.

Version: Miranda IM 0.7.10
"Use different messengers simultaneously with one tool"
Pros: Access to different messengers (ICQ, MSN, AOL, Yahoo), chats open in new tabs, installation very easy
Cons: Sometimes one or two messengers will let me log in while others don't. Time consuming to re-start over and over again.
Summary: Love the tool, much better than using all instant messengers separately!

Version: Miranda IM 0.7.10
Pros: The set up was very easy but I think far too simple for anyone to understand if they first use this product, it's quite different from other IM clients. Other than that, it's super light, super fast and is very customizable.
Cons: It's light but lacks too many features that should be installed isn't, which makes it very frustrating to add and remove features.
Summary: Bottom line, it's an ok program, not something I would use, I couldn't find a extension that allows me to view online times and stuff. I didn't like the way profiles were viewed on a browser..

Version: Miranda IM 0.7.10
Pros: As I only got IM and YM, this software does the job to connect to them, also gives an options to change avatar for each and individual protocol, not sure whether you can use VOICE / WEBCAM functionality though...
Cons: Setup quite confusing for newbie, as the wizard only show how to import contacts, but not giving options to setup all logins for other IM.
Summary: I'll give it a try for couple of weeks and see whether I like it / not

"acctualy i could not get it to work on more than one"

Cons: it only worked with aol & then it would not let me sighn into my other accounts like MSN or Yahoo!!
Summary: if they fix that bug maby I'll try it again.
