CNET Editors' review
Miranda IM lacks the slick design of most IM programs, but makes up for it by supporting most IM programs in one fully customizable package. It's easy to add your various IM accounts--including AIM, Yahoo, ICQ and MSN--and you'll have the same icons and status messages for each program. You can even manage the personal information for all your accounts from one central control panel.
Miranda IM's plain, gray instant-messaging window offers just the basics for typing and viewing messages; you won't find the text formatting options, emoticons, or links that a program like Yahoo Messenger offers. You will find numerous options to customize how chat or IM windows behave, including a handy option to have messages from a specific person always appear in the same location on your screen. You also can assign hot keys for a few actions like opening the program or reading a message.
Miranda IM is offered as freeware. You'll give up some of the unique features of your IM programs, but Miranda IM allows you to conveniently monitor and manage many of your chat and messaging programs in one place.

"A Great Program!!"
Version: Miranda IM (Windows 95/98/Me) 0.5.1
Pros
It does what it claims. I can talk on all the IM's listed. IRC was hard to set up but once I figured it out it rocked. I would recommend this to everyone. I use it daily and love that I can be on all these IM servers at once. In my opinion this makes Gaim look like junk.
Cons
IRC is very hard to set up. But as I said once you have it setup right it rocks. And as a note. Miranda isn't what makes IRC hard to setup. They could make it easier by making a more detailed help file on setting IRC up. I used Google for my IRC. Once you install it you will see what I mean.

"its really good"
Version: Miranda IM (Windows 95/98/Me) 0.5
Pros
its lightweight, runs smoothly, and has all the features I need, connecting to all the networks I use, and some I don't.
Cons
No big con's, just some little nags, like how it doesn't show their names on the actual messaging. Nothing large though.

"Not what I expected"
Version: Miranda IM (Windows 95/98/Me) 0.5
Pros
It was a very good chat program if you do not like other messengers on the market
Cons
I downloaded this program thinking I could use it to talk to yahoo messenger people, msn and aol on the same program, but you need to already have those messengers to use it
