From NirSoft Freeware:A password recovery tool that reveals the passwords of several instant messengers. It is a standalone executable, and it doesn't require any installation process or additional DLLs. MessenPass, it automatically detects the Instant Messenger applications installed on your computer, decrypts the passwords they store, and displays all user name/password pairs that it found in the main window of MessenPass.
Version 1.25 has added support for Trillian Astra.

This disappointing free application clears the smoke screen shielding your Instant Messenger password rather than providing the wholesale password recovery you'd expect.
MessenPass has no problem showing the password you've assigned to Trillian, MSN, Yahoo, or AOL Instant Messengers--if you are already signed in to that messenger. Furthermore, your password has to be saved in your messenger application for automatic log-ins for MessenPass to function. If both of those conditions are not met, you're out of luck.
The interface is dated, further detracting from its appeal. If you've lost or forgotten your password, you'll need to locate another application for genuine recovery. This one is only good for those who just can't remember what those asterisks masking their password are.
