MediaFinder X enables Mac users with OS X to see the PowerFile as a shared volume that looks like a hard drive to the system. Tightly integrated with OS X, it enables the applications to see the library as a volume containing discs and files from which data can be retrieved, or with the R200 library, written to DVD-RAM. The library and individual discs mount to the desktop and can be retrieved, searched and used with native OS X tools, or third party cataloging applications.

- Software now runs on Mac OS 10.3 (Panther)
- Users can now choose the name to use when formatting DVD-RAM to HFS+
- Warning message is presented when changer is disconnected without dragging icon to the trash first
- Changer is no longer unmounted when logged-in user on host machine logs out
- Reduced disk "thrashing", especially after formatting DVD-RAM or working with a large number of disks
