Me.dium for Internet Explorer is a free social-networking tool with a twist. It allows you to browse the Internet alongside your friends.
The interface appears as a sidebar in Internet Explorer's browser window and it looks fresh and modern. The top panel of the sidebar is a map that lets you see which sites your friends are visiting. The bottom panel of the sidebar lets you view your friends' profiles and send them messages. They'll have to join Me.dium, but it's an easy process. Me.dium will definitely appeal to Facebook users because you can send messages directly to your Facebook friends asking them to join. We were able to easily change our visibility settings with a quick click of the mouse. There's also another unique privacy safeguard that suspends sharing if you happen to be visiting a secured Web site. That setting stays in effect until you leave the site.
This takes browsing the Web to a whole new level. If you're into the social-networking phenomenon, we recommend you give this fun, free application a shot.
