Me.dium for Firefox is a free social networking tool with a twist. It allows you to browse the Internet alongside your friends.
The interface is very fresh and modern. A sidebar and a toolbar appear in your browser window. The top panel of the sidebar is a map that lets you view what sites your friends are visiting. The bottom panel of the sidebar lets you view your friends profiles and send messages. Me.dium will definitely appeal to Facebook users because you can send messages directly to your Facebook friends from the toolbar. As soon as we created a profile, our icon quickly appeared on the map. We invited our friends to join and, soon, their icons appeared on the map as well. We were able to change our visibility settings with a quick click of our mouse. You don't need to worry about your privacy, either. If you visit a secured Web site, the program suspends sharing until you leave the site.
This takes browsing the Web to a whole new level. If you're into the social networking phenomenon, we recommend you give this fun, free application a shot.

"A security threat and risk not to take"
Pros: This is another social software like Gmail Talk, MSN or Yahoo! However, this one is a dangerous one.
Cons: Pose a security threat and risk to Me.dium users by tracking all online searching and navigation on the Web. Every friend on line, and who knows who else, will know your navigation and searching habits.
Summary: I did not recommend this program to anybody who cares about his/her online privacy
