Supports background scanning which allows you to use your favorite virus scanner to scan certain file attachments. When a virus is detected within a message, Alt-N MDaemon AntiVirus will notify the sender, recipient, and postmaster.

What's new in this version:

Updated antivirus engine supplied by Kaspersky, fix to updater deleting definition files on machines not running NTFS, MDAV will now send notification when an update failed or if the virus definition is updated.
