From Elit :Mbox2xml is a backup-tool designed to extract emails from mbox files (an email storage format) and stores them in an XML file, which, together with a provided stylsheet, makes them accesible through any modern webbrowser. This tool was initially designed to be used with Mozilla Thunderbird, but should work for any program using the mbox file format. Version 0.85.8 has updated support for non-ascii file and direcory names, and stores the xml in UTF-8 encoding, which greatly increases the support for non-ascii/non-latin-1 character sets.
