A browser based on the Internet Explorer engine, Maxthon is probably something of a curiosity for most North American users. It never really caught on there, but elsewhere--especially China--it's one of the most popular browsers around. It renders pages fast and comes loaded with features, as if Firefox came with 90 percent of its most popular plug-ins.
All the basics are represented here, from tabbed browsing to skins to add-ons, and many of the rolled-in features make Maxthon hard to ignore. Some of our favorite features include rolled-in auto-form filling, the ability to set up bookmark groups that open on start-up--excellent for news or blogs, the ability to autoscroll Web pages, and pop-up and content filters for blocking ads and specific content formats you don't want. There are also customizable hotkey commands for such nifty features as auto-completing URLs, so if you type "download" and hold down the Ctrl key, it will auto-fill the "http://" and the ".com".
We also like the super drag-and-drop feature, which lets you directly select and drag keywords to a current Web page or directly to the address bar. Maxthon is fast, small, flexible, and easy to use, and the extra features make it a browser we highly recommend. This version, Classic, differs from the newer Maxthon in several ways--notably by being more stable and less customizable.

From Maxthon International :Maxthon (formerly MyIE2) is a multipage browser based on the Internet Explorer core (IE 5 or 6 required). It can open multiple Web pages in just one window, and it takes only a few system resources when you're surfing with the integrated user interface. The application supports special plug-ins and IE extensions, and its features include autoscrolling, form autofilling, external tools, plug-in support, a newsgroup-browsing mode, mouse gestures, customizable skins, and an Autohide panel. The latest release features improved theme support, enhanced stability, and updated skinning.
Version 1.5.3 build 18 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Pros: FF is great , so does Oprea , but both are not fully supportive with Hebrew website ( like i need ) , so the solution is Maxthon ! , in addition u get GREAT browser , with lots of plug-in's , cool stuff , and works really fast...

"This is the fastest browser I have ever used!"
Pros: Amazing!!!Firefox is a slug compared to this.I like the ad blocking features.I like the fact it's based on IE (but faster and more secure) so sites will always look as they should.You can skin it,add useful plugins.It seems 'browsers wars' is solely built on hype and Firefox although capable has disapeared from my desktop.....
Cons: Ask Mozilla and Microsoft....I'm sure they'll have some 'Cons'

IF U R NOT USING M A X T H O N , U R ON EARTH, IF U R USIN IT - U R ON MARS - WITH OXYGEN OFCOURSE.
Cons: WHEN IT CAN BEAT EVERYTHIN n FIREFOX, LIKE THAT - I STILL HASNT GOT ALL THE RECOGNITION - SO SAD.

"Refined, fast, customizable and with some unique features"
Pros: Some stuff I use every day and I love:
Built-in banner/ad blocker. Awesome stuff, I love this thing. Also you can close tabs by using the middle mouse button. Create tabs by double-clicking on the empty tab space. Extremely convenient features.
Overral it's extremely fast and responsive. Nice interface( could be better see below), selectable search engine. Loads of customization features.
Cons: The pervasive integrated interface is a bit bothersome; I wish it were less so.
If this browser had vertical thumb tabs such as Omniweb for Mac, this browser would kill.
Also, a minor point, customizing toolbars is kinda archaic (from a Mac perspective), could be much more modern.
I hope the developer doesn't stall in innovation like Firefox did, which I imagine got bogged down by its growing open source community.
