A browser based on the Internet Explorer engine, Maxthon is probably something of a curiosity for most North American users. It never really caught on there, but elsewhere--especially China--it's one of the most popular browsers around. It renders pages fast and comes loaded with features, as if Firefox came with 90 percent of its most popular plug-ins.
All the basics are represented here, from tabbed browsing to skins to add-ons, and many of the rolled-in features make Maxthon hard to ignore. Some of our favorite features include rolled-in auto-form filling, the ability to set up bookmark groups that open on start-up--excellent for news or blogs, the ability to autoscroll Web pages, and pop-up and content filters for blocking ads and specific content formats you don't want. There are also customizable hotkey commands for such nifty features as auto-completing URLs, so if you type "download" and hold down the Ctrl key, it will auto-fill the "http://" and the ".com".
We also like the super drag-and-drop feature, which lets you directly select and drag keywords to a current Web page or directly to the address bar. Maxthon is fast, small, flexible, and easy to use, and the extra features make it a browser we highly recommend. This version, Classic, differs from the newer Maxthon in several ways--notably by being more stable and less customizable.

It can open multiple Web pages in just one window, and it takes only a few system resources when you're surfing with the integrated user interface. The application supports special plug-ins and IE extensions, and its features include autoscrolling, form autofilling, external tools, plug-in support, a newsgroup-browsing mode, mouse gestures, customizable skins, and an Autohide panel. The latest release features improved theme support, enhanced stability, and updated skinning.

Pros: This browser scored a -2 in my comparison of free browsers. Google "theymos" if you want to see it, it's the second one down. Scores ranged from -2 to 8. This browser is customizable.
Cons: It's bulky, so much so that it's not worth it for the customization.

Pros: it can be well-feeled when it is being used. it has lot of appealing features in it viz.
1) the tab browsing with ease
2) the switching between tabs just by scrolling the middle mouse button
3) easy customizing as per the convenience of the user
4) free to use
5) pop-up blocker
6) ad-blocker
7) opening the closed tabs if by accidentally
8) PROVISION OF HOTKEY for HIDING IT QUICKLY from others
9) provision of MASTER PASSWORD. this helps in locking the Maxthon web browser if u r not present in front of ur PC or laptop
10) opening links in other tab just by middle clicking the mouse on the particular link
11) u can see ur IP ADDRESS in it far below in the right handside
12) the IE ADD-ONS can be easily added to it.
13) free to use & marvellous skins present
14) disabling the pictures, flash animation, activeX, scripts, etc.
15)URL ALIAS provision. in this, no need to write those site addresses completely. instead, use some key definition & store its complete address in it.
16) clearing records at the time of exit
17) FREE UPDATES available.

i will recommend it to use since i m using this for past 1 year & have face no problems till now. i have use almost 7 different BROWSERS, & have selected this as my PERSONAL FAVOURITE CHOICE. its' SIMPLY BEST!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: it is bulky, & takes a lot of time to load. however, it can be overcomed if u r using the WIN XP PRO. In WIN XP PRO, just click CTRL+ALT+DELete, "Windows Task Manager" will get open, then choose "PROCESSES" tab, in this look for the "MAXTHON.EXE" under "Image Name". when u find it, just right click on it, & click "SET PRIORITY" & choose "ABOVE NORMAL" or "HIGH" as per requirement. now it will open faster than ususal.
this is also known as "Priority Scheduling" in Operating systems.
