A browser based on the Internet Explorer engine, Maxthon is probably something of a curiosity for most North American users. It never really caught on there, but elsewhere--especially China--it's one of the most popular browsers around. It renders pages fast and comes loaded with features, as if Firefox came with 90 percent of its most popular plug-ins.
All the basics are represented here, from tabbed browsing to skins to add-ons, and many of the rolled-in features make Maxthon hard to ignore. Some of our favorite features include rolled-in auto-form filling, the ability to set up bookmark groups that open on start-up--excellent for news or blogs, the ability to autoscroll Web pages, and pop-up and content filters for blocking ads and specific content formats you don't want. There are also customizable hotkey commands for such nifty features as auto-completing URLs, so if you type "download" and hold down the Ctrl key, it will auto-fill the "http://" and the ".com".
We also like the super drag-and-drop feature, which lets you directly select and drag keywords to a current Web page or directly to the address bar. Maxthon is fast, small, flexible, and easy to use, and the extra features make it a browser we highly recommend. This version, Classic, differs from the newer Maxthon in several ways--notably by being more stable and less customizable.

It can open multiple Web pages in just one window, and it takes only a few system resources when you're surfing with the integrated user interface. The application supports special plug-ins and IE extensions, and its features include autoscrolling, form autofilling, external tools, plug-in support, a newsgroup-browsing mode, mouse gestures, customizable skins, and an Autohide panel. The latest release features improved theme support, enhanced stability, and updated skinning.

Pros: this is a great browser to use.IE is ok but this one is much better.tabbed browsing,skins,addons,etc.glad i grab this one.highly recommended...
Cons: confusing at first,but once your used to it,you'll never let this browser go...

Pros: All the usability of IE with added security features, all the tabbed features of Firefox and Opera, full range of skins available, regular updates, fast loading, drag 'n drop to open links in a new tab, opens groups of pages, heaps of plugins, fully customizable, URL alias lists, full proxy control. It has the usability and friendliness of IE with all the great features of Firefox. And as it's free - it's the bext browser available!
Cons: There are none. I've used this browser for over a year. I have others but use this 99.9% of the time, and I'd be hard pushed to change - and I've tried them all out.

"Useful, powerful, and fast but still lightweight"
Pros: Maxthon adds so many features to Internet Explorer and has lots of benefits over other browsers. Because it uses Internet Explorer's "engine" to read websites, it works with virtually every website which is a problem when using competitors such as Firefox and Opera. Beyond Internet Explorer, it adds built-in mouse gestures so you don't have to use the keyboard, blocks ads to avoid those distractions, it saves your closed websites in an undo feature to reopen them afterwards, it will also reopen any websites you left open when you closed it. Plus it has plugins to add whatever you're missing, skins, and is very customizable. It also uses less memory with many windows open than other browsers or IE. It is a small but powerful and very usable program. I can't recommend it highly enough as a default internet browser.

i like very much content filter - you can delete almost all baners and ads
