A browser based on the Internet Explorer engine, Maxthon is probably something of a curiosity for most North American users. It never really caught on there, but elsewhere--especially China--it's one of the most popular browsers around. It renders pages fast and comes loaded with features, as if Firefox came with 90 percent of its most popular plug-ins.
All the basics are represented here, from tabbed browsing to skins to add-ons, and many of the rolled-in features make Maxthon hard to ignore. Some of our favorite features include rolled-in auto-form filling, the ability to set up bookmark groups that open on start-up--excellent for news or blogs, the ability to autoscroll Web pages, and pop-up and content filters for blocking ads and specific content formats you don't want. There are also customizable hotkey commands for such nifty features as auto-completing URLs, so if you type "download" and hold down the Ctrl key, it will auto-fill the "http://" and the ".com".
We also like the super drag-and-drop feature, which lets you directly select and drag keywords to a current Web page or directly to the address bar. Maxthon is fast, small, flexible, and easy to use, and the extra features make it a browser we highly recommend. This version, Classic, differs from the newer Maxthon in several ways--notably by being more stable and less customizable.

From Maxthon International :Maxthon (formerly MyIE2) is a multipage browser based on the Internet Explorer core (IE 5 or 6 required). It can open multiple Web pages in just one window, and it takes only a few system resources when you're surfing with the integrated user interface. The application supports special plug-ins and IE extensions, and its features include autoscrolling, form autofilling, external tools, plug-in support, a newsgroup-browsing mode, mouse gestures, customizable skins, and an Autohide panel. The latest release features improved theme support, enhanced stability, and updated skinning.
Version 1.6.2 build 60 have added in some new functions such as Ajax safe view system.

Pros: The best browser out there
Cons: The bad thing about it is that Cnet hates it, and never talk about it, always forgot it, never mention it and does not give any credit to it. So is not as popular as Avant, Cnet's favorite.

"A good browser but not better than Firefox or Avant"
Pros: It has no obvious (yet) bugs etc but I still use Firefox (No. 1) and Avant (No. 2)
Cons: It makes a big issue of extras it has - but the other browsers have the same extras, Even Int.Exp. has some of them.

Pros: This is the best browser ever used....Not just becasue it has multi Tabs support..bu the way the new tab opens is more convenient.....with just click on hyperlink and drag it and leave. The page opens in a new tab.. no more holiding CTRL button donw..or right click..selct the option...
Its good browser....all the typical features are there..that we use regularly....

"I was in love with Maxthon Classic...until..."
Pros: I love the tabs, how fast it downloads web pages, the bookmarks/favorites, the pop up blocker, the search options...it gave me a wonderful internet browsing experience until...
Cons: It crashes and freezes and shuts down in the middle of me surfing...very frustrating and I have been a fan of Maxthon for years...it has been doing this to me for the last 8 months...I finally got rid of it and I am now trying Acoo Browser...I have downloaded and tried so many browsers but can't seem to find one with all of the features and options that I need/want that doesn't "crash and burn".

"This is the best browser I have ever used and I have tested quite a few!"
Pros: I love the tabbed browsing and its ease of use. The ad and pop up blockers are excellent. It has an excellent RSS feature. I love the mouse gestures which make surfing and navigating between tabs a breeze. I love the view source and flash capture tools. And finally - I love how customisable it is and there is an awesome collection of skins available.
