Publisher's description of Max Folder Secure

From Max Secure Software:

Max Folder Secure is a user-friendly program for password-protecting files and folders. It prevents unauthorized access to users important information and programs. The software makes the protected folders completely invisible, inaccessible, or accessible in the read-only mode. Protected folders and their contents are prevented from being renamed, modified, deleted, copied, moved, accessed, or even seen on the system.

Version 1.0.0.3 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

There are no bells and whistles, but this simple app makes it a snap to lock or hide files. Max Folder Secure's spreadsheet-like interface is easily navigated. The app needs only a few paragraphs to adequately explain program operation to novice users. More experienced users will need only a few seconds to recognize all functions.

Operating Max Folder Secure takes two paths. The easiest is through the context menu. Right-click on any folder or file in Windows Explorer or on the desktop. Then open the Folder Secure menu to Lock, Unlock, or Hide the item. A small window immediately pops up. Enter your password to set the function. Although you can unlock an item from the context menu, you'll have to go to the program's main interface to take it out of hiding. Max Folder Secure's program interface has a simple folder tree to display files. Single-click buttons lock, hide, unhide, or unlock any file or folder. There is an extra step as users must press the Save button before exiting the app.

The program warns users not to hide files and folders in the root directories. Other than that limitation, Max Folder Secure is quick, easy to use, and effective. The demo is a mere 15 days, but any user needing to protect files from prying eyes will quickly come to like this app.
