If you have the patience to hone your flight skills, Master of the Skies The Red Ace provides an action-packed simulation of an in-air dogfight. In this third-person game, you find yourself in the cockpit of a World War I-era fighting plane. Your goal is to complete your mission by using your machine guns and bombs to destroy your flying foes and strategic buildings. We were impressed with the 3D graphics and the realistic perspective from the air, but we had some serious problems controlling our plane with the mouse. In fact, we crashed so many times we nearly quit in frustration. Thankfully, configuring the mouse sensitivity via the Options menu helped us finally get off the ground. In addition to specifying game controls, you can alter camera angles, disable music and sound, optimize graphics for your PC, and change the screen resolution. Though it might take a while to get the hang of Master of the Skies The Red Ace, those who stick it out will find themselves rewarded with an exciting combat simulator.Publisher's Description

"Limited "Control", WAAAY to pricey for full version."

Pros
Basic FPS. Was an OK time killer.
Cons
Can only use keyboard and mouse to control airplane. No joystick compatibility. TOOO pricey for the game. Hasn't been updated since I originally owned it 3 years ago!!
Summary
If you like Arcade style FPS's, then this is the game for you. VERY basic graphics and audio. For me, a waste of valuable HD space.

Pros
A great shoot 'em up game re a forgotten era, a forgotten war and a great German hero who wept when he failed to reach 100 strikes before the war ended. He wanted a fifth Blue Max but he needed 15 more Allied shoot downs and he didn't get them!
Cons
The ones I DLd at CNET crashed my system (Windows 7) and were incompatible with it. I went to smallrockets.com and their DL was perfect. Not only that in trying to make your version compatible I wasted all 6 of my free trials. And smr is $15 not $20
Summary
II am buying the $14.95 smallrockets version although no matter where you get RA/MOTS aka Hunt for the Red Baron the game's a classic and belongs right up there with SEGA and Atari 1500 games! Der Red Baron Manfred Von Richthofen flies again so eat your heart out Snoopy!

The controls take a little bit of practice but thats not a bad thing. Good graphics and gameplay.

Just the price. Guess I'm a bit of a cheapskate.

First 6 missions are bit too easy but the rest are great! Demo is painfully limited so i was forced to buy the full version!

First time I went to use it, it told me I had to change my monitor settings myself, as it was unable to do so. I exited the program and started it again the next day so I could get the exact settings from the error message. But this time SUDDENLY MY MONITOR WAS UPSIDE-DOWN! EVEN WHEN I EXITED THE PROGRAM! I PANNICKED, SHUT DOWN AND WHEW! Everything was back to normal.
