Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a surprisingly effective freeware antimalware tool. It's a relatively speedy malware remover, with the quick scan taking about 8 minutes even with other high-resource programs running. The heuristics engine proved on multiple computers during empirical testing that it was capable of determining the difference between false positives and dangerous apps.
The app has some nice features rolled in, too. It supports multiple drive scanning including networked drives, context menu options including a scan-on-demand for individual files, and the FileAssassin option under the More Tools section for removing locked files. The interface is simple, but pleasant-looking and well-organized. Tabs live just below the oversized logo, with few options per tab to keep down the clutter. The installation process was fast enough, but interestingly offered up the well-kept changelog and an instant definition file update.
Do note that the real-time protection is restricted to the paid version, as is the scheduler for updates and scans. Overall, though, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a responsive malware remover that does what it should with a minimum of fuss.

Pros: Other than the long scanning time, this product did what I needed it to do - it got rid of the Trojan-horse infections & gave me back my computer.
Cons: None yet other than how long the quick scan took. I'm almost afraid to do a full scan - hopefully I won't need to.

"This program does what it says it will do!"
Pros: It did exactly what was claimed and knocked off a couple of very nasty things in my PC. Easy to use and easy to update.
Cons: With my old slow PC the problem with MB scans as well as others like Regcure, Kapersky, Superantispyware iis that they slow it down so much that I have to go away for quite a while before I can actually use the PC to do anything. Solution? New PC.

"I am not sure of how to rate this."
Pros: I cannot really rate this because it has never really had the chance to work on my PC.
Cons: It doesn't have pre-set time or real-time scanning only the manual kind that whenever you choose to scan you can press the scan button.
Summary: I don't know how well it works because I have a Comodo Firewall and had AGV Anti-virus but now have Avira Anti-virus software with real-time scanning and they seem to always find the problems first so there is nothing left for Malwarebytes to do.
