From Firetrust :MailWasher Pro allows you to preview multiple accounts and all aspects of your e-mail on the server before you download it to your computer, thus protecting you from spam, viruses, phishing attacks, and other nuisances. The program also learns what kind of e-mail you want to receive and adapts to your preferences. You can then delete unwanted e-mail before it gets to you and even report it to the central FirstAlert database, where it's verified to ensure no other MailWasher Pro user gets it. Other features help identify and protect you against viruses and worms. Also included are comprehensive, customizable filters, use of public blacklists to identify spammers, and multiple accounts. MailWasher Pro is compatible with POP3, Hotmail, MSN, AOL, and IMAP.
Version 6 enhances usability with new look, adds action column for easy classification of spam.

Pros: Have been using it for many years and each update is an improvement. It's easy to use, fast, and after some training catches 99+% of spam, and those it doesn't catch can be quickly added. Also the forums are very helpful except as noted below.
Cons: Needed is a help page that spells out common spam filters including, but not limited to, various languages and spam using your address. Much is written on the forum, most is too complicated for the average user.

Pros: I've been using Mailwasher for years and don't remember anymore where I heard about it. I thoroughly enjoy bouncing mail back to the idiots who spam me.

"great program,make you feel more secure?Must try to see how it works."
Pros: That fact that you can show it how to accept the mail you want and get rid of the rest.By saying rest,I mean dpam,all kinds of adds and more....etc
Cons: Like any new software,you must take the out the time to get all the e-mail correctly setup.But that's a one time deal,just set the tranning setting up and in a few passes your ready to get through your mail like a pro.

Pros: One would expect mistakes from antispam tools now and then... not from Mailwasher: after some learning (and it really learns!) it never misses a beat
