From Arclab Software Technologies :MailList Controller is an e-mail mailing list and marketing solution designed to send out personalized messages, manage multiple mailing lists, newsletters, campaigns, e-zines, announcements, support, and group mails. The program runs as service on your desktop, workstation, or server. You can use the built-in mailserver for direct delivery or use an external SMTP server. The WYSIWYG editor allows you to create personalized rich-text (HTML) messages or you use your default mail client. Other features are: webform requests, single and double opt-in, ODBC support, linked lists, returned message detection. The free version supports one list with max. 100 recipients (bigger licenses available for purchase).
Version 6.02 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, and bug fixes.

"too complex for such a simple task"
Pros: lots of functionality
Cons: too complex for a simple task aka email

"Great but the editor lakes design templates"
Pros: Great program and very easy to use and follow Wizards
Cons: lake the templates
when creating a new message it has no design templates you must create it using other editor

Pros: highly customizable, FREE, helps you organize newsletters, subscriptions, etc.
this software is AWESOME!
Cons: for the tech-savvy (at least the config part of it)
