Mail Type Select adds Finder-like keyboard navigation to the list of messages in Mail. When the list of messages has focus,

  • Typing a few characters selects a matching message.
  • ctrl-down-arrow and ctrl-up-arrow select next and previous match.
  • ESC and cmd-. cancel.

What's new in this version:

  • Handles characters that take more than one key press to type (e.g. é on a US keyboard).
  • Better scrolling behavior when selecting matches.
  • Changed next/previous match keys to ctrl-down-arrow / ctrl-up-arrow.
