Version: MagicScore Maestro 5.260
Pros: MagicScore Maestro is an incredible piece of software - although it might be a little overwhelming at first, the basics are really easy to grasp and it's really fun to mess around with. Right now I'm composing a carnival piece for a steel pan trio - I don't think there's an instrument they've not included in this thing. Luckily, the free trial doesn't limit your choices, so you're free to dabble in every era of music you can think of.
Cons: I'm not a huge fan of it, but if YOU are then I'd just quickly like to say that although I did just say you can "dabble in every era of music you can think of", this isn't exactly true for the 21st century. There are hardly any really distinct instruments used in styles of music like R&B, hip hop, and trance - you're left on your own to completely adjust them to get decent sounding riffs. It may be a blessing for some, but I'm still having trouble working out HOW you do that. Also, the one page limit... grr! I think I might have to buy it... *sigh*...

Version: MagicScore Maestro 5.260
"Love it, especially for the price"
Pros: I am just starting to read, write and play music, I use it most for accompaniment which this software is excellent for. I also find it easy to use, I am not sure what the built in help is like as I have never had to use it.
The service/support is also excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!
