Publisher's description
From Enriva Development :Magellan Explorer makes it easy to manage your files. Use the built-in high-speed FTP client; work directly with popular archive formats including ZIP, RAR, ACE, and UNIX formats; and view pictures. All within a single, easy-to-use, attractive package. Whether you prefer the dual window layout of Norton Commander or are more familiar with Windows Explorer, you will feel right at home as Magellan Explorer can be customized to fit your needs.
Version 3.31 includes bug fixes and enhancements.
What's new in this version:
- The 'New Folder' tool now supports creating multiple folder levels in one go. Just specify "folder1\folder2" etc.
- Added option to Folder Windows|Startup preferences to allow remembering network drives as last open folder
- Always issue FTP chdir command with trailing slash
- The "backspace" hotkey now navigates to parent folder (like doucmentation says), not back in ther history
- The Archive and FTP menus now work correctly in Windows NT 4.0 also

This software version | All versions -
Version: Magellan Explorer 3.31
Pros: A nice implementation at a decent price, but essentially a copy of Commander (Total/Norton). Directory Opus has a far larger feature set and more customizable interface.
Cons: Magellan's limited features can be in two different freeware Windows Explorer replacements right now.

Version: Magellan Explorer 3.31
"Nice software... Tech support sux soooooooo bad!"
Pros: Nice interface. Good features.
Cons: Not a bad piece of software. But, be darned sure it does exactly what it says it will do for you because their tech support sucks so bad they should be named Hoover! I bought this piece of crap and didn't test it thoroughly. After SEVERAL attempts to contact their "tech support", I just gave up and unloaded it. Bye-bye $40... hello Directory Opus. At least it works.

Version: Magellan Explorer 3.31
"Looks sorta like a "clone" of Novatix's EXPLORERPLUS"
Pros: 1. multiple functions -that's cool.
2. Gives you what windows omitted from XP [a file manager]
3. Lots of features - also cool.
Cons: When I compare it to Novatix's program
[explorerplus] I like the layout of Novatix's Explorerplus better.
I believe Explorerplus has more
"layouts" to choose from.
[They have choices for 1 window, 2 windows-vertical, 2 windows-horizontal, norton commander style and one other I believe].
